H2 FIRST RIDE

Done about 200 miles on the h2 i put together over the winter im impressed ,alot different to my 500s pulls from 1500 rpm not 4000 rpm dont think the 500s are going to get much use this year

RB once told me that once you have ridden a H2 its very hard to get back on a 500, I didnt believe him until I rode one

It's very easy to go back to an S series, they feel a bit puny but ever so smooth.

Then you get back on the H2 again and it's rough as a bears arse and wallows all over the road...

get yer rubber mounts you've bought fitted, that will help

Does that stop it lurching all over the place over the white lines too?

But now Ian's back in the workshop, I could get the casings across to him, I'm just a bit unsure now that everyone says that the centres need moving on the front mounts...

no that's longer shocks on the rear than standard & try some fresh oil in yer front forks,not much tuning can be done with the front forks, but I played with my fork oil level & by putting 2p's under the fork spings at the top to play with the rebound and dampin to get the bike handling bette, could also be down to your choice of tyres and how much wind you put in them

I used my h1a more than my h2 last year JP, I just don't like the braking when 2 up

so my H2 might get more use than my h1 this year, but saying that my 400 will be getting an airing at Donnington , so that might see the road this year too

With regard h1a took mine out for a run the other night did about 60 miles its running better than it has in the last 25 years enjoyed it
