Mick's after an oil pump if anyone can help. Have you not got one fitted or is it faulty?

Thanks for the welcome. I have oil pump fitted but threads have stripped. Went for brown colour as hopefully not as common as the blue, also I like it.

You can helicoil them stronger than original use dowty seals for banjos on reassembling

What size is the helicoil for it

M6 get a kit off eBay about a tenner make sure you drill it straight pillar drill is your best bet put some grease on drill bit to catch dwarf then turn upside down and flush with wd40 and you should get away with not stripping the pump

Grease to catch a dwarf :shock:
They're slippery enough, without using grease Chris :mrgreen:

A 500 will be quite well oiled with even a 250 oil pump set slightly high, if you struggle find a 500 pump.

Helicoil is a common repair these days, try to get a 2nd or bottoming tap to get the thread for the Helicoil well into the body..

I have a spare pump......if you helicoil make sure you use blind inserts 8)

I would use Time sert and not helicoil. It's a better fit all together.

Is the 24mm banjo bolt to the pump still available as mine has damaged threads that's what has knackered pump thread. Cant seem to find one. Any help appreciated
