H2 clutch springs

As clutch slip is always a hot topic, here is a little bit of info about a clutch spring test i did.

Load required to compress a single spring 5mm.
10kg---Kawasaki 92081-1114 (free length 33mm. OD-20.5mm. Wire gauge 2.7mm )
11kg---EBC CSK23 ( CSK-023 )( 32mm x 20mm x 2.7mm )
12kg---Kawasaki 92081-1033 ( 92081-105 ) spring from Z1-Z900 ( 33mm x 20mm x 2.8mm )

Wouldnt the EBC springs end up the same as the 92081-1114 springs though due to originally being 1mm shorter as they would effectively have 1mm less compression on them when installed in the clutch?

Nice info though :) looks like Z1 springs would apply more clamping load

I have not had the clutch slip on my bike, some say that removing all the thin wavy spring that oppose the main springs helps to eliminate clutch slip, also without any detrimental effect?

I do know that with a Gilles clutch actuator with it's reduced travel the wavy springs do cause the outer clutch plate to rub on the pressure plate and give clutch drag, I fitted a brand new set of OEM wavy springs between my steel plates and the clutch drag was far too much, I replaced them with the old 'worn' set and it was much better,

Z1 springs is certainly what we used to do back in the day. The problem is that they do make the clutch very heavy to pull

From the info provided I assumed the 92081-1114 was H2 spring... but when I looked it up it was KZ1000, KZ1100, among others.
It would be great to have 92081-100 (H2) data for comparison.

Kawasaki do not list a replacement for the original H2 spring (92081-100)
My test was done on new unused springs.
I do not have a new unused original H2 spring to test.

A Full set of Z1 springs is too heavy, people sometimes put just two in.

The one issue I had with my h2c was clutch slip!
Cranky Gary informed me that if metal plates are blue in any way (got too hot) they do not work so well.
Fitted new metal plates and two stronger springs and clutch never let me down again.
