I have a bag of the finishing rings but not sure what is what....whats the diameter of your fork ears ???

Doesn’t sound right, the stanchions are 34mm diameter and the ears quite a slack fit.

thats worrying. the part number is 44033/34. are there different sizings for all the S Series?

Okay.......some of mine are 36mm so for later 500s and 750s. Some are for my own early 500s but I have pair of 34mm rings with rubber dampers that I would let go, not sure what they are off though. Are you doing a correct restoration ???

you are 100% correct (not surprisingly) i was reading the wrong scale. doh! 34mm it is.
