Box hill meeting.

Post by 666rog »

Morning everyone.
I’m going to try and get a meeting at box hill, then the 7 ish mile ride up to Newlands corner.
It’s going to be pot luck if I’m well enough to attend myself but unless I plan something, nothing will happen.
So, I’ve picked Saturday May 10th. Hopefully good weather in another month and time for me to do enough miles to do a 60 mile round trip.

I’m hoping some of you guys can be free on this date and maybe get a dozen or more bikes and friends for a meet up.
Let me know how you guys are fixed for this.
Many thanks, 666Rog.

As people are coming from all different distances, I’m thinking of around 10.30 -11.00 to meet.
Hope this works for most people.
Thanks.

Never been to Box Hill but plenty of friends and locals say we should.. :D

We'll try our best to make it Rog although, as you know, we have things happening (albeit slowly) in our life. Thumbs Up
I'll be down there in the Bus, but might need it empty to transport stuff back, unless I can find somewhere to stash a bike and collect on the next visit.

We should be able to confirm/deny our attendance when it gets closer to the date and hopefully weather permitting too.

If possible we'll try and get some meet points from Tolworth / Worcester Park.

Hi All
Is this meet-up going ahead, there is no real response on here and I don’t do Facebook.
Be good to see other triples out and about

Well it was a good day for it.. Glorious weather, a reasonable turnout although unfortunately Rog himself wasn't up to it.
However it was good to see Nipper again, he's also been through the wars but slowly getting back to fitness, he turned up in his Yank motor.

From Box Hill we had a ride up to Newlands Corner, lovely views and Bacon butties too after which we then all went our seperate ways.

Andrea and meself sat in a Cafe in Dorking heard the sound of an approaching Triple and he just passed as I got to the door.

A short while later 2 triples also beat me to the door.

Good on yer guys..

Nice to meet everyone and put a couple of faces to Forum names..

I really enjoyed it even though the traffic up to Newlands was a little slow and heavy going, the end result was worth it and nice to meet everyone..

Clive, Brian, Keith Phil and plenty of names I already forgot (my damn memory) sorry guys..

We went up to Brooklands (Race Track) and Hampton court the day after, same glorious weather.

Looks like you have to keep the bike in a cage when you are not riding it Wolfie. :D :D
