The German Triples Rally, August 2026

Post by Wolfie »

An advance info for early planning for all triple lovers.

The German Kawasaki H2 meeting 2026 will take place from 06.-09.08.2026 as in 2024 in Freilingen at the Westerwälderseenplatte. With traditional dragrace and voting of the most beautiful motorcycles in different classes and much more. The meeting is once again being organized by the fantastic team of the Erwin Heep family and friends.
We hope to see many guys and girls from foreign countries. That would be great. All triple lovers are welcome.

Does that mean that smaller triples owners won't get tarred & feathered? :D

Mark Prior has done all three UK rallies on his.... er..... 'unrestored' S1C - we need to gee him up to do this one too!! ;)

A van? ........ a van?????????..... surely only broken down bikes see the inside of a van?

Yep, Hull -> Rotterdam might be 'handy' but its also expensive. When me and our lass go on holiday to Germany each Summer from Yorkshire (two people, two bikes) we ride down to Folkestone and get on 'Le Shuttle'..... mind you, the thought of a triple idling within the enclosed space of a train makes my eyes run at the mere thought :D

I have ridden to this rally site on a triple quite a few times, however Ray who I used to ride to the Dutch and German triples rally with, has a van conversion which he takes to rallies.
Hull to Rotterdam 2 people and a bike is £550 , but my other half doesn't like being on the back that much.
Hence 3 in a van.

Going via Le shuttle is an extra 582 miles, I'll spend more time riding toand from the rally than the length of the rally itself!!!

'sOK my comment about the van was only a quip........ the ability to drink coffee and the provision of a heater is quite often a huge bonus!

Re the trip down to the Tunnel - being retired, time is a lot less of an issue than before - and having family & friends in Kent to stop with overnight, drink beer, have a shower and sleep in a free bed before catching an early Shuttle makes it a far more workable route for me!

Sorry if I come across a bit crass
I'm just so p*ss off that the cost of getting across the North Sea is preventing me from going to my favourite triple rally :x

Try crossing from Larne to Cairnryan or Belfast to Cairnryan, the priceyist 20 odd miles of water

As you know Brendan it used to be much more a££ordable, bike , rider & passenger - open return ticket used to cost me less than £90 back in the early 90s - we used to travel that way a couple of times a year...I'm aware that it has increased substantially these days

Either from Stranraer or by Seacat from Heysham

In the early 80s, from about October to March, the Dover Calais ferries used to do a 'day trip' deal of bike & rider for £7 return..... living 35 miles from Dover, a few times we would go for a ride in northern France and still be home for tea.......... Thumbs Up
