H2C chain failure

Hi Guys
Just stripped down the H2 C after the southern rally. Good news the chain did not do any other damage

Managed to get the chain free from the front sprocket and checked out the casing and nothing.

Fitted new chain and sprockets and away it went.

(was my turn last year), glad to hear it didn't do any damage..

I still haven't sorted my 'break down' cause (Fork Seals), just ridden her anyway.

530 chain and sprockets fitted. With split link.
I know. But I had these in the garage. I have just purchased the kit to rivet the 520 chains together.
So this will be the last split link chain that I buy, they will all be rivited link chains from now on

do not fear the split link
i run a chain 530 pitch running 150 rwhp with split link and i thrash the s--t out of my dragbike

its all down to the qaulity

dont skimp on the chain qaulity and you will be ok

oh yes Gary,
i'm running a double split link on the standard h2 with a 49t back sprocket but no probs after several thou miles, includes drag runs in IOM and Shakey. and think its the home rivet system that would actually break first, never did trust 2 hammers,,..

That's good to know Garry. But I have bought the kit now and have never had any probs with an endless chain. So will give it a bash.
We'll see what happens next year. LOL.

You can always just buy a soft link to replace you split link. Try Sprockets Unlimited.
