TT 2008 boat tickets

I have been in touch with the Isle of Man Steam Packet company. They will not start selling tickets for 2008 until the begining of race week 2007.
I have one thing to say on this matter.
" How fucking mad is that".
The date is Monday 4th June 2007. I will remind everyone a bit nearer. DO not let this put you off from booking the accomodation. By the time tickets are on sale, all the good accommodation will have gone. This is normal.

You don't have to tell me about getting to the island. I went back in 97 but was dead lucky to get there. Having made the decision to go in the January, ferry tickets were rarer than that really rare bit on an H2. So I booked a foot crossing in the hope I could get a cancellation for the bike later, but nothing came up. Luckily, my boss at work had done some sort of management course and the MD of the Steam packet was also on it. One phone call later and job done. I even got a cancellation on a Douglas seafront room! Obviously the biking god was smiling, but he did have one joke up his sleeve.

I took me dad on the back of the bike, but he forgot his jacket when he came up to my place. So i squeezed into my wifes jacket and he wore mine. Half way thru the week I realised we were walking around as a "youngish guy, old guy, matching jackets".........you do the sums!!

Won't be doing that again.
