H1 Grabrail

Post by Nigel Bessant »

Seeing as these jokers are hard to come by, I am considering making my own. I have found some thin wall 15mm stainless tube at work which with a little extra tug, will bend in a copper tube bender.
What is the tube diameter of original grabs?

Cheers
Nigel

Also need a centre stand for a H1D if anyone has one they wish to sell?

What!

32 views and not one person with a grab rail or a vernier or both?

It's dark, my grab rail is 2 1/4 miles away in a container with no lights, my vernier has a flat battery, I'm up for work at 4,30am tomorrow and can't be arsed to go all that way.

I do know that you can not get the same size tube as OEM grab rails ( I assume you mean, post 72 grab rail?)
I also know these guys used to have repro grab rails

maybe someone with one closer to hand?

Both my KH400 & H2C grabrails measure the same at 17.4mm.
17.4mm is an imperial size of 11/16" inch.
Or just buy one of these repros.

I've got a perfect grab rail I'll sell you. £7,500 - and I'll chuck in a stunning H1b that it's fitted to with it! :D

You could try this chap, he makes up replica ones to order. Quoted me £80 inc P&P for one for my S3 although I haven't got round to ordering it yet.
