Just whipped the pistons off the H2 ,, and the reason its been noisy and had vibrations since last year,
Centre conrod has massive free play on the crank pin, clunk on up and down movement, main"s are ok, What hardy machines these are, :smt023 as i rode 3,500mls this year, the noise started last sept,
I have a recon crank, bought last year ,
just 3rd gear to fix now,,,

Very nice. Tried to buy a wreck of a KT250 a couple of years ago but got totally outbid. Always fancied one since I had a book on trials riding as a kid by that dude who used to be their works rider. What was he called? Good luck in the trial btw.

It lives! the H2 breathes again... unfortunately I don't, since the garage door was closed.

Oh and the exhausts are still hung from the ceiling so I can't hear either. eh?

Went to Gary T's yesterday and had a nose round his collection and parts - met Jo too. Thanks Gary :)
Learnt a bit about H1's into the bargain.
Fitted front wheel into the '70 and painted the points and sprocket covers.
2 weeks off at Christmas to do loads more :D

Just been over to Rotterdam with P&O. Not bad but I found myself pining for the company of a swarm of H2s as it brought the Spa trip back. The old diesel Xsara just didn't do it for me. :(

Playing on my new (to me) 1979 beamish trials bike all day, with a couple of other KTC members, (TY 175 and KT 250 and Fantic 200?) great fun, only binned it four times!
