Jo has bailed, so I'll be riding down Friday and camping, hope we can all camp in the same area

Got 18 & 20 - GUTTED that we are not together is something of an understatement

Yer it's a real shame mate, but on the bright side we can all watch and critisize each others attempts

Oh and all drink beer together in the evening

Hi; it’s a crying shame we are not all in the same sessions, I’m in 5 and 12.
Is there anyway we can ask them to rejig the sessions so at least all the intermediate and fast are in the same sessions?

I have spoken to the events person this morning - they and the general manager say they were not aware of the multiple correspondence I had with the previous events manager or the conversation at Stafford last year. The 3 month gap between their event managers didn't help.

It is too late now to change the sessions.

I don't know how the RD club managed to get a session.

Yes we do - they have only just confirmed that.

If you want to put a bike on the club stand or help with the club stand I have a limited number of free weekend passes (these allow access to the event but not to any track time).

PS I looked back through my correspondence with VMCC and the current events person must have known about our request (it was in the same e-mail as asking about a stand). I have made a complaint to VMCC on behalf of the Club.

Hi Nick, I will be coming to the event and have booked 2 track sessions, more than happy to help you, just give me details, times etc.
Definitely not your fault, it seems to be a badly organised event if they have the info then ignore it, perhaps you can try to pressure them if folk are now thinking of not coming because they have gone back on their promise, worth a go as I only booked because I loved the idea of riding a track with loads of other 500’s, something I never thought possible, and now because they have not followed up the emails correctly, I won’t be able to do

Nick it’s definitely not your fault. I even wrote a note on my entry form to ignore the class I had put down and put me in any triples group.
I have ended up in the fast group I think with Kerry on his super tuned Orville and me on a slow standard H1a!

I recently attended a VMCC Training Day which was meant to attract new riders to the experience of riding 1920’s and 30’s bikes. I booked 6 family members who had never ridden a vintage bike plus myself. We drove from all around the country to Staffordshire only to find there were not enough bikes to go round and what there were were grabbed first by regular members leaving the novices hanging around until I complained. The VMCC General Manager and President were there but nobody was actually managing or organising. Some of the marshalls then kindly lent their own bikes they had ridden there on so there were enough bikes to use, albeit the bike age range was then up to the 1970’s. We had a great day in the end and I am sure Mallory will be great but they need stronger more professional organisation. These events are not cheap to enter especially when adding in the travel costs. The new person is learning but the manager has been there a while.

That reminds me of the early Classic Bike sprints I used to run in where numerous VMCC riders were just pushing and barging to the front, completely ignoring the orderly queues we were sat in. They were nothing but a bunch of aging arses.

Got my entry today for the sprint demo as well on Sunday

Just heard I wont make this one either now as offshore plans have changed.
