I would guess Iain is thinking that Craig!
Iain is still mega tired with pains to various places that were worrying him.
We spoke to my sons friend Dr Mo

who said it is perfectly normal due to the body having shut down.
He slept well the first night at home but so so last night.
Has constant dreams and quite bad nightmares.
We are told again this is normal due to the medication he was on.
He is staying upstairs for the moment as its too tiring to navigate the stairs.
He is eating but only small amounts.
He is so pleased to be home.

The steps Iain is taking may only be small ones at the moment but they are the first ones in a lengthy journey that he now faces
You must be so proud of your whole family to have battled through this awful situation, I reckon you are an inspiration to us all.

Iain is doing really well, way beyond our expectations.
He has put a stone back on in weight and is sleeping well and the nightmares stopped after a week.
He drove a short distance for the first time last week.
He has set his goal to walk to the local Timperley village and back.
He said when he can do this he can go back to work as a postman.
We expect it to be late July/early August.
He visited hospital last week for a second blood test as the main concern was liver issues.
He has been given the all clear with no long term issues.
And Callum gets to spend all this new home time with his daddy

and mummy Sarah too

I simply can't / won't watch it any more, the media in general have got their finger hovering over the 'self destruct button' and simply don't know when to stop criticizing everything in sight, how about promoting something positive for a change .... pillocks like Peston, Kuenssberg, and that goon Piers Morgan want deporting somewhere far away where they can't preach their own agenda to the rest of us...the public are pissed off with it
The paps are in groups outside Dominic Cummings house, almost terrorising him when he steps onto his own front doorstep, about the fact that he drove 250 miles to Durham and allegedly didn't practice safety rules.. WTF are they doing in groups outside his house fer Fcks sake ........ fkn morons

However much you dislike them, we do need independent people to call out those in power to be accountable. After all we put them in that position of power. An alternative is to have a regime with unfettered control, such as Putin's. Or, look at China and how they are going about silencing the voices in Hong Kong. That type of place is an unappealing one to be in.
You are quite right though in that some of the media seem to be on quite the ego trip, having their heads further up their own backsides, more even than some politicians.

point taken I do feel tough that " Independent people" should demonstrate independent views and be representative of the populous,......... the examples I quoted don't seem to have an independent agenda, nor are they democratically elected....who writes their scripts I wonder ....Wouldn't it be interesting to be a fly on the wall during a meeting between those folk
Anyway lets not lose sight of the Original topic of this thread

Agree with all these comments and apologies if I've hijacked this thread, but Iain's case exactly demonstrates what I mean. Successes like his need to be broadcast and celebrated by everyone. It lifts the spirits and demonstrates all the sacrifices are working.
The media could play a huge part but I guess that doesn't make what they consider to be good headlines...
Nuf said.
