Great updates Malc, looking forward to the next installment.

Are you going to come down to Alabama one year for the Barber Museum Vintage Weekend in October? They have a big swap meet too, usually a few Triples there.

A really good day today!
Breakfast was good!
Pancakes!

We arrived at the salvage yard at Yale and RB scored a 73 Z1 straight away. It was loaded on to the trailer ready to take to Mid-Ohio.
OK, so it was only a rolling chassis and engine but the engine had been rebuilt.
We had a good look around the yard and the triples shed looked a bit barer than when we were here 4 years.Of course we had the compulsory "bug" spray before the adventurers went into the undergrowth!!

Kawasaki S2A was left where we found it!!

350 was found to many years to late!

750 left outside!!!!

Don't even think Richard "MASTA" Young could restore this one!!!

The tree had continued to grow!!!

We nearly bought it but it's still a Z1000,

The original dealer Kawasaki sign was not for sale and believe me ,
I tried!!

Truck maintenance was still not a priority!

We got back on the road and ended up in Detroit
It was a rough old area we were passing through and getting out to take tourist pics was not an option!

( I might add that as I'm posting this in the hotel room at night the two old men sharing with me have both fallen asleep!!its only 10.30pm!!!
I would take a picture but trust me ,it's not a pretty sight!!

We eventually stopped at another bike shop that Rick knew.
The low mileage RD 350 had led a hard life!!

Finally we are 5 miles from the swap meet
Dinner was excellent

It's taken me almost one and a half hours to post that lot so enjoy

I'm now lying in a hotel bed some 5 miles from Mid-Ohio with Al and Kenny snoring away next to me at 6.50AM!
It's trade day but of course RB has us some trade passes for us.
Should be a good day ahead

Thanks for all the help on the picture posting but as my system is working I will probably stick with what I have got for the moment as the iPad is not something I use a lot as I'm mainly on a laptop.
The IPad is certainly easier to carry and as all the posting is working it's the way to go in the future?!
There is little Wifi at Mid-Ohio so not sure when I can post again maybe not till Sunday

I will try linking in to the Wifi through one of the USA boys phones!

IWe are having a brilliant time

All sat around the campfire at the moment.
I've linked into Rick Sines USA network iPhone so I'm using Wifi through that

The pictures we have taken are not at the moment transferring from the iPhone to the iPad

We have all bought some bikes and spares .
Weather is hot ,hot ,hot

Plenty of bikes about but lots of people chasing the same thing!
We have all done well on the bikes and for me spares front.
The Guinness and red wine is flowing!!!

If the pics transfer I will try and load some otherwise next chance will Sunday evening

We got back to Traverse at 10.30pm after a long ( for us UK boys) drive.
Rick was his usual expert self in stacking/strapping the trucks and trailers.
We just covered 413 miles and Al is already asleep having done all the driving!

We made sure every one knew we were British

Look what I found!

Kenny scored a H2B

Finalising the deal on a KZ 900 with Kara from Mach4 motors

I had to have it!!

That's it for now ,tired!
Only about 25% of the pictures have transferred from the iPhone to the iPad??
Not sure why?
Will they all transfer in time?

It's a late start this morning but how good was it get in a real bed this morning after 3 nights in the back of a trailer!!
Here's some more pics

First view of Mid-Ohio, we all start getting really excited around now!!!

69 H1 sold the minute it came out the trailer!

H2A and all the parts in boxes should be a good buy!
Dallas who sold it to me sent his DaD home to pick up the engine which he forgot to bring

My spares collection was mounting up!

Kenny was pleased with his H2B

AL"S low mileage YR5 was soooo nice

KZ 900 has covered just 14051 miles so I'm really pleased with it

The spares just kept coming!

Keep the flag flying!

Yet another great day.
After our late start we spent a few hours sorting out the trailer and getting some bikes ready for the road.
We set off mid afternoon and realised the reason we were all starving is we had not eaten for 24 hours!!!
First place we went to was shut but some nice pics by the lake.

Quick call at the storage depot to pump up the tyres.

We rode another 20 miles on great roads in hot weather and stopped by lake Michigan. It was suppose to be a quick snack but like all portions in the USA it was massive!

It was on to our regular haunt "fishtown" for the obligatory ice cream which RB treated us too.

A spirited ride back seen the 73 Z1 at over a "ton" on more than one occasion!!

Back at base the pace was proving to hot for some!

A night down Ricks local town Cedar seen Guinness in draught cans

Food was good and company was great with some good humour!
Back at the Ranch it's a touch of "RED" for Rick, me and Kenny

Al has gone to bed and we are probably not going to be to far behind him!
Tomorrow is giving rain

Looking like a day at the storage depot sorting bikes to make some space for our own purchases, and especially my spares

RB is sat next to me trying to sort out Nova problems!
You try to register 5 bikes that have EXACTLY the same paperwork and two are turned down!!!!!
I really would NOT want his job, the driving alone would be enough for me.
The most he did in a day was 1420 miles and regularly averages 600+ !!
Modest bugger that he is does not want to say that it's a 600 to 800 average a day!!
The 413 miles from Mid-Ohio was EPIC for me Al and Kenny!!!
Weather now says rain in the morning so as the crossers are still on the hire truck ,could be a bit of Moto- crossing tomorrow

Oh and forgot to say, bought a bike off the guy who found Malcolm Inces H2B chopper.
Dallas was a real nice guy and is going to send me pictures of when he found it in a barn!

Time for bed I think

It was quite funny Malcolm as I showed him our latest club magazine with the rust monster on it and he said," that's my garage door!!"

This morning it was down to the Cedar tavern for breakfast and on to the storage depot that Rick rents to have a clear up ,help him get all the vin numbers (40 plus bikes ready-for shipping

) and get our own bikes and my spares in there

It took a few hours and no pics I'm afraid as some of the pics have not at this point transferred from my iPhone to the iPad.
Modern technology!!! NOT!!
Rick went off to sort sone paperwork , and having heard the phrase
" you useless bunch of cocks" a few times on the trip we went all out to impress

On return the "gaffer" was impressed and took us to a mate of his (Ray) who had 80 acres of moto crossing land and RB had spoke and organised with him to use his bikes

It was raining when we arrived but it soon stopped and the rain had dampened down the dust.
What a great couple of hours we had, simply outstanding!!

AL the wheelie king finally rang out of talent and dumped the KDX!

Quick trip back to the storage depot to unload the last of my H2s

And finally the storage depot was full!!

We spent the next two hours sorting out the paperwork for our own bikes ( and spares

!!)
You have no idea how bloody complicated it all is at this end never mind the government nova at our end!
When Rick says " the next container is my last"
I now know why!!
We eventually ended up in Traverse city at the place we went to the first night we arrived as we all agreed it was worth going to again as the food was excellent

Back at base it's "RED" all around and posting on the forum which takes me soooo long as the internet must be linked to the one in the Isle of Man and us erm.............. Lacking!
Looks like tomorrow we MAY go jet ski (ing)
Ita a bloody hard life but I'm trying not to weaken!!!!

.....also nice to see in the earlier pics a true kawasaki icon also,a classic zx750 turbo, travelling with the iconic z1, h2, s3 etc.
