And TallyB will have u sorted if needed
The bike will be in the van coming over, might get it dirty

£140 for the two nights (I think as Jackie made the booking) so about normal.
The Lodge Hotel would have been £220 for two nights but it does look a bit posher

and closer.
Looking forward to the rally so best get the ferry booked next.

As far as the ducks go they were caught heading over the Tay Bridge OUT OFF Angus covering their ar*es.
We've not decided one or two bikes as yet to try both 500's in the van. To ride over would be good as the road from to Stranraer and then Larne to Coleraine are both cracking rides (we were over 2002ish on the Thunderbird) but cost a fortune in petrol and oil and they might get dirty.
What bike are you taking? Is it a Kawasaki Triple or are they too much for you now?

Nothing definite decided yet Paul but which ever way will only be taking bikes on ferry so I don't think there will be a booking issue .As I recall the plan was to get ferry Thursday morning I think there is a classic meet on Thursday night and return on Sunday morning the last time I looked the ferry was 40 quid each way .Any input welcome.

hi guys i had a look on p&o web site and stenaline
P&O was £37.50 each way bike and rider into larne
Stenaline is £40 each way bike and rider into belfast
Not a big difference on distance to coleraine.
Stena is a better boat to be stuck on but takes a bit longer much better facilities compared to P&O.
Stena boat is about 30 mins longer as it sails up belfast lough.

http://www.stenaline.co.uk/ferries-to-ireland
http://www.poferries.com/en/cairnryan-larne
these should give you latest prices on either ferry
you can so into Larne or Belfast .
Belfast {stenaline } takes longer but is a much better boat

...looking at times for us on the Thursday there's 04:00 - 07:30 - 10:30 from Cairnryan to Larne

Just booked ferry and hotel.
If you are using the P&O website they advertise a 20% discount for early booking, but if you put the code in it doesn't seem to work. Just ring the freephone number and they will take the booking with discount.

Paul
I'm going to go on Friday morning probably on the 10:30 same as the North West boys and return on the 10:30 on the Sunday morning.
Chris was undecided when I spoke to him this morning and no one else has said they are going as yet.

Unless it's totally Scorchio I'll trailer over to Stranraer as it's a boring 3 hour drive

i think you struck lucky Si
It doesn't work on the P&O website if you put the discount code in for a bike, but if you ring them they will apply it and book it over the phone for you. I did it today, bike and two passengers £103 reduced from £129.
Go on the website, get the code and ring the freephone number. Explain that you are having problems booking online so they don't charge you the normal telephone booking fee.
...
dead right - website wont accept code - did the free-phone all booked Friday 10.30 - Sunday 16.30 return .... 60 quid
