The club has about 500 members currently

The work carried out on behalf of the club is conducted by less than 10 people

That means that there are 490 people who do what ??

The Northern Rally seems to have taken a dive this year, 34 bikes on the rideout I believe

Rick now lives in America and comes back when he can

I was going to run Stafford this year but due to personal and health reasons I had to drop out, Thank goodness Malc Anderson was there.

I don't really know where the club is currently heading, lets see if the membership gets hit for next year.

A lot of people won't say anything, they just won't re new their memberships

The reality is most members JUST want a magazine these days?
At 60 pages an issue I guess is good value??
I would think under 100 of those members actually are active on forums/helping at shows etc?
RB ,and with out him, we would not exist as a club, has little input these days BUT I know the club is still important to him
To me he should have a presidents page EVERY issue so i hope he will read this.
The club continues after many years
We need a minimum of 250 members to cover costs per year and the club has around 10K to spare at the moment??

Oh, and the committee earns Fook all for what any one does!

RC30 is a true classic.
I bought one just after retiring from roadracing. Muddy hell, I got from Wakefield to Aviemore in 5 hours.

Mental. But effortless. Couldn`t do it today. With speed ( Err, " safety" ) cameras , and the risk of a longer jail term than for murder. ( Plus of course, on set of old age and mild common sense, plus the increasinly poor driving standards of th the average car driver )

I think I`ll leave that particular section of my bike ownership days to the rosetinted glasses zone.

Great bikes. Have become the modern generations answet to the BSA Gold Star. And one of only about 5 hondas I would ever consider owning .
Best stick with an old Triple. You feel , and soound , like you are doing 80mph at 30. And my cornering abilities are far superior to the bikes. So It makes me feel like I can ride well. Better than the bike !!!

I am sorry that there appears to have been some issues here - I must have missed it!
I enjoy being a member here and would hate for things to deteriorate into a pissing contest online or off.
I am a forum member at Kawasaki Owners Club, ZLOA - Eliminators forum, ZRXOA and ZRXOC and have been trying to join Z1OC for a couple of weeks?!
I love Kawasaki's of all types - my KH400 engine 250 is right up there along with my ZL1000's. But I have had to have it SORNed as the DVLA need some documentation certifying that it is now a 400! Why would I tell them its a 400 and pay more vehicle road tax unless it was a 400? I did not want to try and MOT and tax her and run into issues or get pulled by a Police Officer - and try to explain why it says 250 on the log book and 400 on the engine etc!
I do okan to get to some |Club Meets when I can, but have a fairly full plate!

It was a VERY nice example with all the correct parts.
Only small item I could pull it on was a H2 throttle assembly with choke.
For the purist (read proper anorak!) the race bike throttle is unique to the H1R and H2R and it has a Samurai /Avenger type choke lever

And Im lucky enough to already have one and started building another with the H1R frame I bought in the USA

I liked this but as it was a world endurance racing championship machine the price put me off!!



It was 45K

I will make do with this one I bought a few weeks ago ZXR 750R........ Kawasakis RC30!

The guy with the H1R was telling me that he's never had it running properly - so hadn't ridden it. Think I'd get it running properly - but it would never be as much fun to ride as an RG500 . There were 3 or 4 RC45's that were quite tempting - more pricey than the RC30s now.

It would have to be an RC45 for me.
I remember Aaron Slights RC 45 being for sale at Bill Heads in Preston.
It was a totally stock new bike in HRC colours that had been a gift to him from Honda.

Ive known the guy that had the H1R for a few years.
He is retired now but was a top solicitor so had serious dosh!
He had all sorts of exotica.
He is thinning it all down in retirement and is actually keeping his 50cc racers which is his real passion!!

The RC45 never really did it for me ,its the RC30 ive always thought was one of the most iconic bikes produced I love em!

We ALL have something in commom?
Put ANY motorcycle in front of us and we would be able to get straight on it and ride it Although some (like a H1R!) are not easy to ride!
Its a Kawasaki triples forum and we all love them but its also good we can chat about other bikes with out being biased etc.
Even with the magazine ive done article on other marques simply because I considered it to be interesting

Spot on Malc.. This club has seen me through some very dark days because of my home circumstances and for that I'll be forever grateful.For me it's as much about the people as the bikes.
