number of previous owners 7
reg number NAO 969 M
it seems strange that there's such a big gap between the frame numbers
and the O in the reg also seems unusual
beginning to doubt myself now

I think it is the 2nd and 3rd letters are the area identifier and in 73 AO was Carlisle

Not quite standard but the horn (Subaru) is the right way up and no complete bikes or rare parts were harmed in the build.
Mot on Saturday. Sadly can’t be exempted as it has been substantially modified
