The first barrel was off my dragbike that got damaged after I rodded it. They machined the liner out of that and after loads of phone calls they eventually told me it was beyond repair and do I have another barrel. So I sent the a stock barrel on standard bore.
They machined that out then eventually told me that they could not modify the stock barrel to match the heavily ported one . So now I have 2 knackered barrels. I just don't get why machine out the liner of the stock one .

I would phone them and give the one chance at a reasonable explanation then I would plaster the story over every Facebook group I could find.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear that they started grinding out one of the barrels and then realised they didn't have any H2 sleeve after all, or at least enough to complete the job.

We all know the rarity of many H2 bits, so NOS H2 sleeves must be an endangered species. I mean, who makes them any more? I think we need to find out!

Incidentally are the sleeves all the same, or do the outer cyls have slightly angled exhaust ports?

no they are not the liners are different thickness , the early liners being thinner and of course the port dimensions differ

I would be asking them where is the money to compensate for the damage and financial loss to yourself?

I have taken Rog666 advice and emailed them a chance to fix the stock barrel with a new sleeve or tell the world via social media how I have been treated. Not holding my breath though lol

when they took the barrels, they entered into a contract with you to do the work, if they cannot complete the work, then it should have been forwarded to someone that can, at their cost, and complete the contract.If you have a financial loss from them not fulfilling their end of the contract, then take them to court, and can be done on line with money on line, an online service with the county courts, its not quick, but it works, I have just finaly got my holiday pay and costs and the company now has a CCJ against them that effects credit

I have not used any of these but got this reply to my email from Simon (Nametab) ;

I dont think I have done 400 but i have certainly done 500 cylinders. The old liner has to be bored out and a new liner made to suit . Cost is approx £180 +vat .Turnaround time will be around 6 weeks as I am absolutely rammed with work at the moment.
