I would be up for another trip to the manx Dave last one I went to was a belter best time I have had in years seems the popularity makes accommodation difficult to get . I would also be interested in a trip to France if there's any interest and JP can sort something out

Festival of 1000 bikes gets my vote. The Manx would be good but it takes a massive commitment to man a stand for a week like he RC30 boys did this year for their 30th anniversary.

Commitment at the manx would be 4 days Tony.
Friday,Saturday,Sunday monday of the classic event.
The RC30 club took it upon themselves to do it for longer.

As I suggested earlier I think the 1000 bikes is the way to go. I am sure we could put on a display of H1’s as a club and even get a parade lap ?

That said could we also not make the Manx a themed H1 trip with as many members as possible taking their H1’s. It does not need to be a display at the Grandstand. A couple of organised meets around the island or perhaps a display at Jurby ?

Thinking back to the club's last organised gathering at the Festival of 1000 Bikes, I contacted the organisers (by phone) to see if we could have a dedicated club session on the circuit. At the time, they said it wasn't the norm, nor the intent to do that, but if we could field enough bikes to fill a session, then they'd do it, otherwise it would be unfair to other paying punters. What happened was we didn't get enough bikes to fill a session (although there was a good turnout by members), so we were lumped in with Benelli sixes and CBXs, except for Keith on his S1a which was deemed too slow, so he had to go out with another group, but he still enjoyed it. The only downer for the club session was the twat on the CBX who dropped it and stopped the session, although it was re-started. For those who paid for more than one session, they got put in the next relevant session (based, nominally, on bike performance). I noted when looking at this year's festival, the prices have gone up significantly since the last visit. As a reminder/food for thought, the club had a stand on the 'Avenue of Clubs' with a small area behind for camping, but there was other camping available, which some people opted for. As it was outdoors, I arranged for a small marquee to be put up for us, as that was a service offered by the organisers. From memory it was about £250; I took some flak for it at the time, but given the variable weather and the state of the unsheltered land on arrival (i.e. completely sodden), I still say it was money well-spent, especially when watching other clubs struggle with less robust gazebos. We even had basic carpet!

Anyway, just a few thoughts, depending on what's decided. Seems like only five minutes since the 40th celebrations (H1 40th anniversary-themed stands at Donington and Stafford that year).

I'd love to do the Manx/Classic TT, but as has already been said, you have to plan well ahead and it can cost a bit. 1000 Bikes would be more accessible, cost and planning-wise for me.

If these stay the same for next year it seems like a fair price to me when you consider it includes camping and a 3 day pass for 2 people.
