Ok Chris is ok to share a room but what about Sam and Wolfie single or shared?

Eric I understand between Greek and Ardennes you prefer Greek.

Hi. I'm going to France on June 8th for a week, anyone going to the rally and want a bed for the night on the way back there more than welcome. We are staying in Hamel a small village near Albert on the Somme. Its about 100 miles from the rally and 80 miles to Calais. If of any interest please PM me

Cheers Bruce (Haggis)

Aww Bruce... decisions, decisions... that's a great offer but I've just about convinced myself to do the one day dash both ways... someone with a bit further to go might really benefit from that.

Sam, have you decided how/when you're going?
How long will it take you from home to the Kent Ports?
Just wondering whether to drop the Bikebus at yours and bike it..? As above, decisions, decisions.

I can do the one day dash in the Bikebus, Ferry from Dover to Calais for £85 (3day) return but it's a crack of dawn to late afternoon drive. That's almost certainly counted out the Hull/Zeebrugge route without someone else to joint book 2 cars.

Back in the day, you could just turn upon the dock with a bike and they'd squeeze you on the next Ferry tied to the side, against cushions just inside the loading doors. I daresay that doesn't work these days.

How do we pay you for the room booking JP?

It's 85 miles to ferry port. So two hours needed.
Chris also toying with coming this way. I would want to leave for ferry about 6am to avoid worst traffic. 10.30-11.30 ferry? This would give time for breakfast before getting on ferry! Also cover for delays!

I was looking at the 10:35 ferry, but that would mean leaving here about 5:30 to allow a bit of M25 leeway, as you say rush hour time. The booking allows for 1 ferry either side of the expected crossing time.

So I believe Graham has sorted out his transport!

Looks like I will be taking van.
Chris has agreed to join me!
So I will book up when I get my pension on Monday :D

You believe correct Sam, I'm boating it across 10:35 but I'm allowed one ferry either side of that, in case of early/late arrival.. I just dread that barsted M25 and also miles of queueing lorries on the M20/A20 if things go tits up..

I hope to get there early and have a little blue smoke romp around the Ardennes before everyone else shows up..

Thank you for sorting the Hotel JP, I wasn't expecting a river view, looks nice but I bet we get rearward rooms, :D

you could have a room with a river view , last one have one and haven't asked for. We will see as I booked nearly the four last rooms.
The good thiing with the rearview is you will see your bike and the others on the locked parking and is the rear road is really quiet one car a day while the road on the river side is a main road. :smt004

I don't really mind either side JP, just so long as I get away for a ride around some lovely country while I still can..

Looking forward to seeing all the guys over there.

Just at the moment, I'm tempted to change the Ferry booking to "one way".

well there is no more room left but ours rooms all four has a small king size bed (for a couple in other words).
So you could share a bed with someone.
I observe the issue will be only on saturday night as on friday night we will be few so no trouble for a bedroom on friday for you .
Will call the landlord to see what we can do.
