Wishing you the best.

 I am humbled by all the very kind remarks you folks, many many thanks. I got home last night after discharging myself. I had a stent in one artery as soon as i got to hospital (around 4.00 am Sunday morning). The medic found me at the bottom of my stairs having just made it to the bottom door of my flat to unlock it. After a quick ecg and som life saving drugs they told me i was in the middle of a tick tock attack. When the ambulance arrived they done some more work on me and set off for Hammersmith hospital. On the way i evidently had another one, (one staff member later said it was an 8 out of ten and i was lucky i survived). They did not even take my jeans or shoes off to do the stent op (it is a wire expanding cage) because it was so urgent. During the odd times i was with it i could see on a large monitor the catheter inside my blood vesel, very cool engineering. The moment the expansion took place i saw a huge rush of blood that had been queing up for years to get through. Whoooosh. I immediately felt better than i had for months. The stent, by the way, (YOU READY FOR THIS DEL BOY) is made by none other than................................................................................................................... :D BMW. How mad is that. I just hope it's not one of those fekin Chinese copies that are flooding the market.
Unfortunately, they found 2 leeser important vessels slightly blocked and these, because of location reasons, cannot be done through my femoral artery using the bmw stent. They need open heart by pass shit :( . Oh well. They could not give me a date but wanted me to stay in. The treatment was fantastic but the conditions were grim and with a wink and nod from a senior member of the heart team it was deemed none life threatening if i came home for a while. just waiting on a call to bring me back in for some sod to put a firemans axe down my sternham.
Thanks again you lot for your well wishe, phone calls, texts and general abuse. I will be in a fair while next time and out of action for a few weeks. It seems the engineers on this board are not having a good time recently :? Last word, heart attacks of that degree realy are painful. My advice to you all, dont have one.
Love and kisses, Rog.

Glad to see you posting again rog.

Glad they have you half sorted

The only thing is once they have you out of hospital they can put you on the normal waiting list which will take god knows how long where whilst in you would have got priority.

Glad your still with us any how

Take it easy for a while m8 i'm sure they have given you a few life style changes to think on??? :)

Good to see you home so quick. take it nice and easy.

Incidentally i've heard the cure is a glass of red wine every day and ride a triple on the bypass, (or something) so it can't be all bad.

See you at the Southern ewd lad.

They was going to fit an H2c four port pump but they said RB wouldn't sell them one. :( Cant imagine why.
Some old frump came round and visited all the post op pump attack brigade giving advice on how your life will be affected. She gave us leaflets on food, warning signs and christ knows what. If you carried it all out the hospital the shear weight would have given you another attack. My mate was visiting at the time and she asked if she could do this lecture while he was about so a friend would know how i should now behave. When she told me i had to stop driving for FOUR WEEKS  i asked her how the f @#k i was supposed to get to the pub and then drive to the kebab shop afterwards. My mate, Steve, left the room at this point. It took me ages to calm the old bag down and tell her i was only joking. Now way do i drive pissed to the kebab house, i get it delivered :D .
