It's a long story, which sticks in my throat and I will recount when nearer completion, It looked like a near complete bike, but turned out to be just a disguise.
On a more positive note, with the help of some enthusiastic KTC members things are progressing.

It's effing sickening when that happens - happened to me too. Good on yer for sticking it out though.... expensive mistake isn't it Doc.

No doubt you were told it was all your fault for not checking what you were buying etc etc.

Thank you Old man.
Yep! bought right into a sob story, tears rolling down my face.
Got some good guys on the case now and strangely I love the notion that one day soon, all will be put right.

I managed to get out on the H1 for the first time this evening - did 5 miles of
Came back and checked that nothing had fallen off and just the clutch lever bolt was a little loose. Plugs all look fine too.
I think it's the first time the wheels have turned in anger in about 37 years - sounds great when you open it up a little - gawd it's not possible to keep the revs to 4K.
So to sum it up lovely jubbly 5 miles of two stroke smoke and one happy H1 rider.
Just need the sun to come out a bit
Thanks for help, advice and parts
Just the '70 to do now -

The sun was shining today so I booked her in for an MOT & she sailed through & guess what I have 5 miles on the clock too
Enjoy your new ride, dont forget to ride down south in September for my Garden Of England Rally

Went for a spin on the H1 - wife on the back.
Went to Matlock - Ladybower dam - up over Snake Pass into Glossop - Buxton - Bakewell and home again
Did 125 miles - passed the 500 mile 4K limit and started to open her up a little to 6K. Brings back memories when you lay a trail of blue smoke and the sound - just love it
Got wet and dirty - but worth it.
Anyone else got out
