I've been hoping for a definitive answer myself, and I still have that worry that 'cheap' means just that.

People have been very slow on the uptake of these pistons, they have been around for quite a while now with no one at all wanting to be the first to risk their money and I suspect that it is the unbelievably low price that has caused that.

I reckon that if they were £250 a set, they'd have flown off the shelf..

Hi everyone I was with Dave Higgs last week and can tell you that these pistons are OK he has fitted them in both his S3 & H1R Replica. If your not sure ask him yourself.

After all the talk I thought I would walk the walk and ordered a set for my h1 .2 weeks later they arrived £70 including postage . the newly privatised post office didn't pick up duty owed(bonus) on inspection they are an EXACT copy of mother kawa pistons crown profile the same height the same rings the same and seem interchangeable with standard I cannot comment how they perform cos I havnt fitted yet but I can't see why they shouldn't be fine. I tried to post piccies of wossner standard and cru in pistons but for some reason the third piston was cropped from picture?

Sounds good Chris.......don't be fooled by the "newly privatised PO " its HxMx that picks up on stuff usually over about £20 then charges you vat and PO puts on a £8.00 "handling charge" .................for sommit they were gonna deliver anyway!!! You got lucky THIS time dude . Keep us up to speed with your project fella.

Are there any markings inside the pistons that could give us a clue about who the manufacturer might be.
ART, who made all the stock Kawasaki pistons, have production sites all over Asia.

mother kawa pistons have art and 10 stamped on inside cruzin have S and 10 left piston is cruzin

low cut side skirts, OK for the DEF/KH but would rob some power from early h1's

Probably yes, but not a lot and does that matter on a forty year old bike?

You could reshape cutouts used to do it regularly on 250 rotax racing motors

We here what your saying Gazza but for what they cost it wouldn't take a lot of dosh to have them re-shaped cocker

I have now managed to get another set of pistons for my H2, these also look like they are made by the same manufacturer as the ones supplied to cruzin image for the 500, they are +20 thou, I fitted them today , again they are good copies of the early H2 pattern pistons with high cut cutouts on the skirts.

Where did you get the Cruzin H2 pistons Barrie?
They are telling me they no longer do them

I found them on Ebay from a guy in Northern California, he had them mis listed as he put the word NEW in the title which I think had thrown the search engine, the guys name is caltriples

well just read about this pistons and thought i will give them ago so bought a set of 0.50 for my h1b new project well rough project any one know where i can get a set of small nd bearings from
ive ben trying to post some pictures but it keeps saying file exceeds the size or words to that affect

OK question , on some pistons there are windows,[inlet] most Yams, also Cabby" GSX triple, now is it just on engines with reeds,
or whats the story,? also elongated windows too. on some..

on engines without reeds the piston is used as a valve controlling the inlet timing , with reeds they control or act as the inlet valve , so by putting windows in the piston the reeds take the job of the piston skirt , so improving the breathing of the engine, especially at lower rpm's
