With RB still not 100% we opted to take the hire truck up to take a look at Mackinac bridge and a ferry trip to Mackinac island.
First though we did the video of the 69H1 that RB posted on U tube.
Image
Wont bore you with more pictures of the bike but what we forgot to mention in the video was the the mirror had the Kawasaki flag logo on it
Nice touch!
The only mirror I have ever seen it on is on my 250 Meguro!
Of course RB had an NOS one!
It was a two and a half hour drive to the bridge and then we waited for a ferry.
Image
The island is quite unique in that its a major tourist attraction (WE are classed as tourists :D) but has nearly no motorised transport (fire engine and an ambulance!)
The main transport all over the island is bicycles or horse and cart!
Having not rode a bicycle since I was last banned the horse and cart was a good option  :D
Image
Approaching the island
Image
ERM,the streets stank of horse shit!!
Image
Only real mode of transport on the island
Image
We stopped at a few scenic points :D
Image
Heading back for the ferry :D
Image
Something to eat near the ferry :D
Image
Steak for Kenny, Fish N Chips (fries) for me :D :D
We drove back and got in at 11.20pm and rounded off the evening with the obligatory RED on the verandah
Friday , last day,
Sorted some import paperwork for all the bikes etc, dropped the hire truck off,
And got to the airport
Flight home passed quick
Image
I'm now back in the house and doing my best not to fall asleep!
Need to stick it out till 10AM to counter the jet lag.
Thanks to all the USA crew who made our trip to Mid-Ohio memorable!
It was brilliant :D :D :D
And big thanks to RIck and Lisa for looking after us although Lisa did say that at times is like looking after naughty children :D
Next trip "THE MANX"

Had a heck of a storm hit today  Virtually no access to the house, dozens of trees down blocking each access road, some on top of cars :? All power lines down and with the number down, power isn't expected to be back on for a day or so :(
