I still don't know whether I can make the rally . It clashes with some paternal duties. If I do it'll be on the bike so I won't be able to bring the burner.

I will pop over for the curry on Thu but wont be much use setting up with my knackered knee.

Bringing my big tent in the car Thu but cant do friday so will come on the bike saturday am for the ride out (can ride it ok!)

I sooo nearly did last year cos it was so bleedin 'ot.. I ignored the "no access to the river signs" seeing as many others apparently had and trampled the grass all the way down.. But I figured that without a banksman or two it was risking it a bit..

I should be OK with Water Wings though..

And someone said that you just ask for (and buy) a River Pass at the Pub..
