Posted on behalf of Leon, Wolf.
most of you don't have a lot of patience
I've been skiing for a week just to see this thread
I put a lot of work already into this event and now you all back off.
I just received a mail from Bikers Classics, It seems my e-mails got stuck in their spam-filter
I can't respond on the other board, so I hope somebody will re-post this there.
There are a few things to be sorted.( I PM'd Gary and RB)
Camping can be done on the camping Spa d'Ór (
http://www.campingspador.be), I will look into that
As long as I got enough people to attend the rally.
Please let me know if I have to continue

There are the hard core of Dutch visitors still coming for the weekend.
So where are all the Dutch and Germans staying Leon? we could/should try to be as close as possible.
I already have a hotel room booked but it is the same distance from the track in the opposite direction, I am leaving that in place at the moment as it was the last room there but can cancel it if something better turns up.

I've not been able to get on the forum much lately. Just wanted to say i will be posting an update on the Festival of 1000 Bikes very soon. As for rally there, my view is, if there is no Northern rally for whatever reason (no Spa, or MFN closed!), then the Festival offers an easy opportunity for a mini-rally for those attending. If there is a Northern Rally in August, there is still no harm in those of us attending the 1000 Bikes to group up, one way or another, if possible. I will ask about the facilities on offer when I can get a spare few minutes at work to call the VMCC contact. Meanwhile, let's see if Leon can re-kindle the Spa event for those who are keen to make the trip.

As far as I and the organizers of Bikers Classics it's still on
there are a few things to work out, as always
It would be fun to have around 200 h2 together at this event.
About tenting, there is a camping nearby. They are used to have motor enthusiast over.
There is of course no problem to attend other triple rally's

There will be a dutch rally also, and a German probably as will be a Northern.
But as said this will be a opportunity to meet other triplists from other country's.
so be positive and make the effort

Where are the locals staying Leon?
I was under the impression that this was the Dutch rally also.. keen as I am, I won't be able to do two foreign Rallies.

If you mean "circuit riders" by locals they can stay at the circuit
the real locals go their homes,
lots of people only go for one day or stay in hotels nearby.
But since this year the "Tour de France" will start in the neighborhood it will be more difficult
There are plenty of campsites around

Hi Wolfie,

found at
http://www.campingspador.be/ardens/engl ... pa_d%27or/
there's also the possibility to book a room at the campingsite

Totally agree Wolfie. If we are going to go we might as well be in the same place !! makes sense to me.
With all the back and forth I have no idea anymore who is still going
Nor where they are staying

I see you are back on the site Nigel, I reactivated you yesterday..
Yep, I am trying to find out from Leon if there is a place where most people will be, but I think he still misunderstands my question...
Johhny foreigners eh??

There are still quite a few going, we are up to ten now just from this area, I will be getting prices early next week so there might not be many more to add to that.
I would say book yerself a Hotel room for now.. (a few of us in Ligneuville) they are filling up cos there are other events in the area but since some of ours are backing out there should be some availability.
It can always be cancelled if owt better comes along.

It's hard to keep up with all the different boards
I'm trying to get a camp site in Spa. (waiting for answer)
It's near to Francordschamps, but then again Belgium is not that big
it's cold "Spa D'or"
found on
http://www.campingspador.be/ardens/engl ... pa_d%27or/
they had more motor clubs so they won't be disappointed with us.
ps1 I can understand anyone's impatience, but keep in mind that at this moment it's a one men's operation

:!:
ps2 so far I only have contacted the UK board, after this weekend I 'll try to inform the Germans too.

QUITE RIGHT.............. WE HAVE ABOUT 5 THREADS GOING CONCERINING SPA ON AT LEAST TWO BOARDS.
NOW ...........HOW ON EARTH CAN WE KNOW EXACTELY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON ??
AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED I AM RIDING TO SPA. IT WILL BE A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH TRIPLE ENTHUSIASTS FACE TO FACE FROM CONTINENTAL EUROPE WHO I ONLY KNOW VIA VARIOUS BOARDS.
IF JP MANAGES TO RIDE FROM PARIS TO THE UK 3 TIMES A YEAR FOR OUR RALLIES....THEN SURELY I CAN MANAGE TO RIDE TO BELGIUM. ( and so could other Club Members )
MY TRIPLE AND I WILL BE AT SPA....COME WHAT MAY !!!!!!!!!!!!
