Took a bike for MOT yesterday (passed) on the way back past Kellingley Colliery they had just washed the road, I can't believe how 20yds of damp road can put so much shit all over a previously spotless bike (Barsteds).
Been Carb playing again today with it, see my other post please, I'm on the cadge. :smt023
Now rain has stopped play..

Seeing as it's now May I made a concerted effort yesterday to make a start on Project 2013. 2013 signifies the start date. The completion date is yet to be decided. Details on another post.
Today was nothing to do with bikes. An early start and ran the Sheffield Half Marathon. back home for 1:00pm and a quiet afternoon.

Rode a triple for the first time in nearly 12 months.
MoT'd the H1 on Saturday and put about 100 miles on the H2 this morning.
Observations so far are that Gary Clarke builds a very good crank. It is sooooo much smoother than it was. And Lakeland ignitions are brilliant. You could weld with the sparks off it!
Looks like we'll be good for Blackpool.
And also got reunited with my old Norton Dommi cafe racer I had not seen for 30 years but thats a bit NTR.

I spent my weekend, reilling everybody, pissed off quite a few apparently..

On Satuday we drove down to Barnard Castle to pick up the H1 that Jackie was buying from Androu (Andrew). A nice run down the A68, a road I haven't used for years.
After a little deviation via Stockton to drop of a broken down scooter and its rider we arrived about 2 hours later than planned.
After enjoying a chat and a cup of tea in the sunshine it was time to load the bike and head for home.
Coming up the M6 we passed a Ford Capri and both commented that you don't see them around much. Second good deed of the day was helping the guy in the Capri to change a front tyre. The jack supplied with the car looked lke it beonged to a Tranist or similar. He had picked the car up in Manchester earlier in the day and was heading back to Rosyth and made it a couple of miles passed the Abington services and on to the Biggar road before the tyre collapsed.
Sunday was the first ride on the latest acquisition. After a few miles Jackie relented and had a go on 'her' new bike. Just as well you don't get far on a tankfull of petrol or I don't think we would have gotten feed that day. I then got talked into taking the H1 out again at 10pm,never mind the fact that I was working on Monday.
I think it fair to say Jackie is really happy with bike as it pulls clean down through the range with a kick when wound up.
Cheers Andrew for selling such a good machine.
Only problem now is the garage is bit cramped.

Hmmm. Swallow? Seamen? Not the best choice of name p'raps. Anyway let me explain. Had a big pirate based outside birthday party for the carpet monkies on Saturday (hence the beard sported at Blackpool). Zip wire, sword fight, cannons, buried treasure etc. Soooo lucky with the weather?

Got the frame back from the powdercoaters so i fired up the lasting cabinet and started cleaning up all the bracketry ready for painting.
Prepped the ZRX ready for the TT trip. Not long now

Anyway, off to Ayr in the morning for a whisky (whiskey) festival in the town hall. A few drinks on the boat, a trip to Weatherspoons for a breaky fry and a pint then the whiskey, a Chinese with beer mid afternoon before more whisky and then more beer/whiskey on the boat home.
