Well one week to go!! This is the provisional plan.Tartan to ride to my house on Wednesday night, set off down south Thursday morning stopping in Kent Thursday night.Arrive Folkstone 7.30/45 for 8.20 train arrive Calais aprox 10.00 French time 180 miles to Paris 4 hours? arriving at aprox 14.00 J.P. We need a definite meet up point preferably north of Paris so we do not have to negotiate the boulevard peripherique !! so just to confirm we do not need to bring tents . Re: Coupes Moto Legende 30th may-1st june
I suggest you will take the highway Calais Bethune by A 26 then A 1 via Paris (tool way).follow Paris on the Calais highway.
It's the faster way. it's 290 kilometers until my home (best lap on H2 is less than 2 hours :smt003 on the old time without speed limits of course
).
You should know that you have a petrol station in Calais just after the shuttle exit and no more before nearly 40 miles on the highway.
There're sometimes mobile speed camera between Calais and Bethune then when you arrive on the A1 beware the 10 first miles could have also mobile speed cameras.
Fixed speed camera have a special sign before ( the radar is between just after until 1.5 mile) see here the sign on the bottom front page
http://www.motoservices.com/vitesse/rad ... atique.htm
We will wait you (me and or Alloallo) at the last petrol station before Paris, it's the petrol station after the toolway close from Charles de Gaulle Airport should be easier for you, quick lunch at home and then we will go to Dijon.
Of course the best way is when you refueled around 60 miles from Paris you will give us a call then we will start to go to the petrol station.
Will gave you by PM all the phone numbers, mine, Alloallo and Gérard (he was at Spa and Southern 2012)
We have tools, sparkplugs, tubes, tyre tools, pump, lights bubble, cables and 4 liters of gasoline, 2 stroke oil too just in case and a against radar GPS.
We will refuel on automatic petrol stations on small villages so a credit card will be need but if one of you haven't, we will pay for him and he will give cash to us equal to the bill of course.

Have got Alloallo then Gerard on the phone,
we will meet you as written before at the petrol station but we won't go to my home but directly to Dijon, we will eat some sandwiches at the petrol station.
BTW we have beds for you on sunday evening: 2 in my home or exactly mother in law's flat in the same building as mine. 1 on Allallo's flat.
Tartan still parking your H2a I presume and will put you on monday on Airport or train station (don't remember if you will take a plane or a train and too lazy to search on the old posts)?

Re: Coupes Moto Legende 30th may-1st june
The place where we will meet on friday 30 may around I suppose 2 PM french time is the following
on A1 highway coming from the North (A 26 from Calais then A1) and going to Paris
Total petrol Station
VEMARS OUEST
kilometer 26
just after exit 7
see here:
http://www.sanef.com/var/sanef/storage/ ... ces-A1.pdf
you have a toolway at kilometer 44
then exit 8 kilometer 42 of course you stay on the highway
then exit Parc asterix kilometer 33 you stay on the highway
then a rest parking kilometer 29 you stay on the highway
then exit 7 Survilliers kilometer 27
and just nearly on the same place Total petrol station kilometer 26 VEMARS OUEST
We will eat sandwiches at the petrol statin and BTW what do you want because we will doing good homemade sandwiches (don't be afraid not me but my lovely girl and am not a bad cook anyway :smt003 )
choose between :
saucisson with or without pickles french baguette and butter
cold salmon with french baguette and butter or mayonnaise
ham with or without pickles french baguette and butter (can add cheese if you want)
drink: Coke or Perrier or Evian mineral water
After the highways exchanges around Paris are very peculiar.
So we will ride on this part with one froggy on the lead then the 3 UK then 2 froggies
After Paris we will have around 75 miles of highway (there is no other solution because if you take a road the Paris suburbs are very important with plenty of radars and 30 MPH speed limits) then the pleasure will begin 125 miles of very small roads with curves, a 120MPH jumping hill between two curves, without anybody and petrol stations in the midddle of nearly nowhere when need.
we will be still on small curving road when will arrive on the track
we will arrive for dinner at the french Suzuki GT triple club the menu for friday evening will be:
terrine de campagne, blanquette de veau riz, tarte normande
with red win or/and beer or/and mineral water
Have all the tickets for entrance of course
The help bike if need will be my S2A
