Just spent a couple of hours fitting a Ralf Gille clutch actuator to my H1A and pressure lubricating cable, greasing the lever pivot etc.

Gone from bloody hard to pull in (almost unusable, thanks in part to the heavy duty clutch springs I fitted for no good reason ..) to an easy two finger operation - FANTASTIC :D :D

I fitted the new activator before I did the other work and the improvement was excellent, however amazing what a difference properly lubricating the cable made. It's taken me 40 years of playing with bikes to get round to buying a decent pressure lubricator, I'll be doing all of the bikes next month.

Well, today I received my Triples Club magazine ... thanks Malc! Thumbs Up

That distracted me from my Tansha, which had distracted me from my Classic Mechanics [I just realised ... I read too much!].

Anyway, Boxing Day, I jumped into the shed and did some more of the final touches to my H2-A resto. Went all over it, checking all the nuts and bolts were tightened right up; put my headstock decal on [thanks again RB]; my chromer dropped by and picked up the front guard to make it look all shiny again [forgot to give him my AE80 luggage rack dammit].

I hooked up the oil tank overflow pipe and the chain-oiler pipe. Put a new chain on the new sprokets, and fitted up the r/h side pipes. A few minor things to fix up ... waiting on a tacho cable to arrive and need to repaint the mirror mount on the left ... and it'll soon be ready for a start-up.

I'll try to get some photo's up soon.

Gave the fleet a run out today.

Still loads of blind drivers about.

H2c Very original, unrestored 3,950 miles. Runs like new. :)
73 Z1 Totally original, unrestored European model. Could ride it all day.
GS1000S Original unrestored but changed from red to blue. Italian import.

I love my bikes. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

The sun was shining so I got the H2 out to go do some shopping in Selby. Unfortunately the A19 was a bit damp, several feet of damp by the looks, road blocked and everything.

So I went South and went to visit Ray (Oldman), one of the things I meant to ask him was if there was a Tesco in Donny, but after I left, only a mile down the road was... you guessed it,

Did me shopping and then went and had a coffee at J&S before coming home.

Anyhow me arms and clutch hand are aching, I suspect more from throwing those great big bits of concrete around yesterday rather than anything the bike has done..

It was pretty warm riding, but soon as I stopped I was cold. How does that work?? Still it's been a really good day out.

Took S1b out for run. After an initial fire up as a twin and plug change. After 10 miles I lost pin out of gear linkage. Cable ties got me home. Mainly in second gear. :) River Colne very high!

The only downside is the paddock stand won't fit the H2, lol

Doing a bit on my S2 restoration. Finished re-assembling the engine, took all the black stuff down to the powder coaters and the smaller chrome bits down to be plated.
Just started on the wheels by removing the spokes - all OK no problems :D
