To upload a picture (or other file) from your PC, you can drag and drop the image into the text window (where you are typing) or click on "attachments" tab below the window then, click "Add files" and navigate to the attachment (file or image) on your PC, then double click the file to upload it.

When the file is uploaded it can be left as a Thumbnail or if it is a picture, it can be placed inline.

An alternative is to use the 'insert image' button above the text window and link to an image already on Photobucket or similar Picture Website.

Note that there is a file size limit of 1.1 MB and 4no. per post.

Using MS Paint to Resize an Image

Large images load slowly, check the properties of the image file to see how large the image is.
Don't resize the original image, resize a copy. To resize the image copy:-

Right click on the image file in the File Explorer, select "Open With" Paint.
Select "Resize" on the Home menu bar
Select the resize by "Pixels" button
Ensure "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is ticked
Change the Horizontal or Vertical size, approximately 600x800 is good for forums (or 800x600 for landscape)
Select File >> Save As to save the resized image.

There are also a number of online re-sizing sites that will do this process automatically for you, such as https://www.resize-image.net, as mentioned 600x800 or 800x600 is good Thumbs Up

An alternative for quick picture hosting is https://imgbb.com. Upload your pics then copy and paste the BBCode links into your post.

Another quick way to reduce photo sizes is to WhatsApp them to yourself.
I set up a Group called "My Pics" and upload them to that group then download them again (make sure you don't overwrite the originals if you want to keep them).
WhatsApp automatically downsizes them to something like 1200x1600 pixels and 200-300kB.
