have a lunch with my mother today (87 years old) and she wants to come on the Southern rally 2014 as passenger on my H2, she just needs a room on the rally site (cause she isn't very fond of camping) so Del let me now when the reservation for rooms will be opened.
she speaks english btw and remenbered the old time when she came showed me on racing on the 70s 80s. :smt004

Aw mate that would be brilliant Thumbs Up you've just got to bring her now 8) I think she would be well worthy of a special trophy/award for that journey and it would make another great write up for the club magazine

she drinks, still driving her car on long journey as 500 miles a day (not so fast than before cause she doesn't like the idea to have her driving licence cancelled with speed) but doesn't smoke

Hi JP sorry Comrade I have only just seen this!!

That's brilliant your old/young mum wants to come on the back of your H2 wow good for her Thumbs Up

The rooms that we the organisers had this year have already booked for 2014. That said their are plenty of good cheap B&B Guest houses nearby :smt003 Your friends that came in 2012 on the Motobecane stayed here http://www.kenthousebnb.co.uk Just 3 miles from the site in the village of Leeds Kent.

or http://www.charthillcottage.co.uk or http://www.whitehousefarm-kent.co.uk or you could really push the boat out & stay at the famous Leeds Castle http://www.leeds-castle.com/accommodation

Or you could simply contact Jonathan at The Hawkenbury Inn to see if their are any more local guest houses close to the pub? Phone the Hawkenbury Inn on : Local code 01580 890567 or check out the website http://www.thehawkenburyinn.com

Hope this helps JP & we look forward to meeting your mum in 2014 hip hip, Delboy Thumbs Up

she rode a Motobecane moped on the 60s and has had the good idea to pass her car driving licence on 68, the moped stayed without use and on 70s got 14 years old which was, guess what, the legal age to ride a moped, so I took it :smt004
