I spoke to Andrew earlier tonight and will give it a go.
Not my usual thing organizing for others so any pointers gratefully received, or happy to make way for an experienced bod.
Much better a as a goffer.

Derek, had a chat to Malcolm about this the other night, he is away before the show so couldn't commit, like yourself I am more of the gofor type but if I can help in any way pm me. we recon if the north east posse step up to the plate we should have 8-10 bikes between us you can have my H2A and H1F. just my opinion but we could do with some KH's they seem to be the bikes everyone remembers, might be worth asking the committee if any funds are available to help with the costs

Should be no problem at all Chris. Last year we the club paid a ton of money to bring bikes to the show, so I can't see why getting ours there should be any different if we are struggling

Thank you guys, that is a relief.
I have just had the booking form emailed from George Beer the organizer and they have a space for us.
An Open Area with electricity is FOC but £60 if you want a booth with electricity.
I personally like way the stand has been the last two years so will book the Open Area. More inviting to visitors.
I can bring 2 bikes so will try to get Jackies KH and either her H1D or my KH500 which could be presented in stripped down form for something a bit different and Andrew has offered one of his bikes.
With bikes from the Nothern posse I will ask for space for 10 bikes and see what they say.
The arrangements are the same as last year with Friday the 7th for set up between 10.00 and 21.00 hours. No breakdown of stands before 17.30pm on the Sunday.
More when I have it.
Final question. What clearance, if any, form the committee do I need?

Good luck with this Derek. I enjoyed last year, great event. Sorry, but cannot do this year. Its a bit far and way too expensive. If I win the lottery I will pop up :D

I know what you mean about distance as last year I had intended doing all the club rallies but only got to the North West.
Hope to see you in Edinburgh if you get the win. :)

Got to work a plan of attack now. Damn those moments of enthusiasm. :)

Higgsy's Norway bike and mint s1c would be a good addition to the show if you could persuade him to turn oot could also be a business opportunity for him I'm sure the jocks buy spanny boxes :)

If he can survive the 'sunshine' in Blackpool I'm sure a weekend in Scotland wouldn't kill him.
Would love to see the bikes in the flesh. There are other triple owners up here. We bumped into one with a lovely green 400 at a Bons Balls (AC/DC tribute band) gig. Never seen it out and about and he only stays a few miles away, no address saddly as the fizzy water had taken its toll.

Update time.
The stand at the Scottish Motorcycle Show on the 8th and 9th March this year has been confirmed by the organiser and he is sending out the required form to list the bikes we plan to show and passes for the weekend
List of bikes I have are:-

North EastMalcolm 2 bikes to be decided
Chris H2A and H1F
North WestSimon 1 to be decided and regalia
Higgsy Norway bike and S1C
ScotlandTartan H2
Me KH250 and H1D (the bosses bikes actually)

Malcolm/ Simon I will be in touch to see which bikes you would like to show to help spread the range. Spoilt for choice I know.

I think that will make a good stand and a big thank you to those bringing bikes, and those coming to help.

I think I have sent the show rules to all those wishing to show bikes but if I have missed anyone please let me know. The main point I see are that the bikes are covered by neither the organisers or the club insurance at the show. Please check your insurance to make sure your bike is covered for damage etc. Not expecting any but better safe than sorry. They also want batteries disconnected and little or no fuel in the tank, if low fuel they want filler caps taped shut.

I have the flags from Tartan but do I need anything else? Tables etc.

Derek
PS bring warm clothes.
