Never bought a new H2 but did not manage a deal on my S3A. I think I got an extra mirror only!

France 11.000 FF on 72 11.500 FF on 73 13.000 FF on 74 75 (last sold H2B on later april 75)
the double disc brake optionnal kit cost around 1.200 FF, it was nearly 10% of the pric of the bike.
Was cheaper than GT 750 and CB 750.

From what I remember back in the late 70s Kawasaki dealers did not discount models......same as BMW . From memory Kawasaki dealers only sold Kawasakis ......later on I think they sold Beemers and a couple of other high end bikes .

Ahem, I was too young to be doing deals on H2s in the 70s, but a quick trawl of my old bike magazines yields the following:

Bike Aug 74: H2 £845
MCM Jan 75: H2 £829

Not many had prices in them!

Yes I remember back then the sales men gave you the guff of keeping the prices up for your resale after year or 2.

Bigger liars than Tom Pepper.

This is an ad from a 1973 magazine. £650 doesn't sound much money now, but my paper round only paid me £1.25 a week.

It's no surpise how rare S1's are when you look at that price - same as the British big twins, and a third more than the CB250!
