We have a KH250, which had had various little things done mostly Battery and Regulator troubles sorted with one of Simon MOW's regulators and one of his batteries too.. to start with, ALL the earth tags were on the rectifier top nut, leaving the frame earth tag completely empty and the frame not part of the earth... but it ran!!?? and has done many miles..
It's the first time I fitted one of these Reg/Recs, but here's a tip already, you have to cut the Green/Red/Black wires off the oblong plug.. but don't throw it away.. unclip the three Yellow terminals from that odd shaped connector and fit them to the now redundant one, this will then fit straight into the KH harness connector, no bodging necessary.
Now, when I took the tank off to re arrange the tangle of carb cables, I found this..

I reckon the bike was a mere few miles away from a fire on board, this is why the harness should NOT go over the frame rails.. lucky find.
And finally, "the indicators are very lazy", he said and asked me to look out for a new relay, not necessary after all.. how they ever worked at all is a mystery.

How is it that you can get an HR connection from a bit of light tarnish on a spade that will knock an entire electrical system down, yet your indicators will still just run through all that rust???

What I didn't say though, the Red and Black wires should be fitted with a Japanese bullet and the Green fitted with an earth ring.

Having had such a good day yesterday... today I thought I'd be a complete idiot.. just for some balance like..
Tackled these feckin carbs on the H2 again, set the VM30s as per MRAXLs jetting examples and re fitted them, set the lift off points using some cut off Tywraps then got kitted up and set off down the drive.
Suddenly the revs kick up and won't come down again... so at the end of the lane I drag the revs down with the gears and then kill it.
I was expecting to find a stuck slide.. but wait, there was something jammed in there... you already guessed it.. 
On the plus side, it does run a bit better.. for now.
