First Mid Ohio purchase!
Sat at the airport having a Guinness
Flight leaves in one hour and 20 minutes.
We were a little bit worried as all flights to the USA were canceled yesterday!
All seems back to normal today and greeting through security was fairly painless.
Our flight from Chicago to Traverse city has been changed.
Instead of having nearly 4 hours at Chicago we have a 55 minute change over so it could be a bit tight!!

We arrived in Chicago and were fast tracked through all aspects of the airport including security.
We made the flight with just 10 minutes to spare!!!
We texted Rick and told him we were on a flight nearly 4 hours early than he expected!
He texted back something to the effect of " headless chicken"!!!
He met us though and we went out for a few beers and an outstanding steak.
It was then down to his storage depot for a it of a sort out.
Back at the ranch we were glad to get a shower and. We tucked Avery tired All into bed!!
Bottle of red out on the patio went down very well and now as we type this we have been up almost 24hours!!
Another bottle of red sees us linking into Ricks wifi ( Ricks gone to bed!) and once agin it's looking like the award for last man (men) standing is....................... Myself and Kenny

:D

Exactly Paul, because WE know when to stop. It's a good job the club still has some sensible, sober members.

We got loaded yesterday and set off just after 3pm.
RB loaded some scrap to sell!
[/ur
Then we had to sort out some riders for Mid-Ohio.
Rick had three crossers that definitely ran but we had to try two or three more to find another good one!!!
[url=http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/1774427/image.jpg]
The hire truck we had was way to cramped for three to travel so we changed it for one with a bigger cab
We called at Sams place and stocked up on supplies

Then on the road!

Found a hotel around 7am

We went out a sports bar and watched the football (soccer) while eating and were amazed to see Brazil loose 7-1 to Germany!!
They had guinness which was great for us.
Back at the hotel we had a bottle of red while watching TV but we were all tired and asleep by 11pm , bloody lightweights!
This morning we are awake At 6am hence why I have plenty of time to post!
After breakfast we are heading to a salvage yard at Yale.
We find the salvage yards amazing as there is just nothing like it in the UK.
Sat nav is showing we are just under 4 hours from Mid -Ohio and we have booked a hotel just 4 miles away from the venue
We have trade passes for tomorrow that the wily old fox RB has organised
Like our "Stafford" show in they UK the early bird gets the bargains!!!
our exchange hire truck pared back to back with Ricks
Kenny is glad we never had that second bottle of red!

What's worse is I am having to write all this up on the USA forum as there attach pictures facility works great unlike our own that gives little images in the corner that are way to large when you open them!!!!
I'm copying and pasting from the USA forum which I just should not have to do!
It's the only way I can get the pictures on normally with out using photobucket which is not really an option on this trip as I'm using the iPhone as a camera with the pics transferring automatically to my iPad as soon as we have wifi! It should all be so easy but it ain't with the picture issue on this site
