Ladies & Gentlemen I'm running a half marathon in Tonbridge Kent on Sunday 28th September 2014

As you know I'm not the fittest looking bloke on the street, but I have been running for a while now & recently joined a local running club! 18 months ago I couldn't run 200 yards let alone 13 miles. I now frequently run 6 miles plus.

At our club recently I met a new member more out of condition than me & 3 stone heavier who is a heavy smoker & drinker, he is also running the Tonbridge half marathon for another Cancer project & he inspired me to enter and give something back to a worthwhile cause!

If you cant or don't wish to pledge any money it's not a problem but if you can anything will help! I would like to raise £1000+ for Cancer Research.

If you can help please go to my page at Just Giving. Either clink on the link or cut & paste this into your browser https://www.justgiving.com/Deryck-Hart/

Thanks
Thumbs Up

Well done Del, Such a great cause. Thumbs Up

I know most people know you for messing about in the club as delvis etc

But this is the serious side of Delboy

The money pledged is for a worthy cause, lets help out a fellow club member.

Fair play to you Del.

Hi everyone I'm overwhelmed by all your generosity, your money is going to a very worthwhile cause! I'm fired up & ready for the challenge ahead

Based on my current running time of 6 miles in 1 hr 10 mins I hope to complete the total 13 miles in around 3 to 3 & half hours!

As of today Sunday 21st Sept I'm up to £685 last donation from Old Man Ray, cheers Ray!!

Anyone else looking if your thinking about donating please please please do it before next Sunday I really want to hit or better still smash the £1000 target

Only 7 days to go people, Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Bring it on Thumbs Up

P.S Most of the donations have come from KTC people, thank you, he who dares wins, Delboy!!

Thank you very very much for all the donations it really means a lot

Big up Kent Massive too RB for topping it up & allowing me to hit the Grand £1000 and another big up Kent massive to Dave, also known as Dave for donating twice thanks errrrrr what's your name?

To all of you that donated nameless you know who you are thank you very very much.

For someone as unfit as me It wasn't the easiest thing I've done but I did it in 2 hours 56 minutes & i'm now a stone & a half lighter

I said when i crossed the line I would never do another one, but in hindsight if I can shed another 7 - 14 llbs I might have another bash next year but not at Tonbridge the bloody hills were a killer

Thank you Delboy Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Action shot in agony & ready to give up as my right knee let go with 200 meters to go!

I didn't give up & rolled across the line in 2 hours 56 minutes! Most I've ran before this half marathon non-stop was 6 miles, I ran virtually non stop for 9 miles then walked & ran the rest and proved a few of you wrong  And I'm the veteran of the team being 5 years older than the next one below me!
