There was one , probably this one , on a stand at Stafford last October.

Built by Nigel Everett , who knows what he's doing !!! There are lots of specially made parts replicating originals, like the brake discs , that you don't notice at first glance. Heck , just to have a water cooled motor is brill !!!

TBH. I'd rather have a ne w replica. Than an old race bike. Everything on it is in good nick , where. Every race bike in the world is like grandad's axe !!! ( plus of course , they're generally starting at about half the price of the genuine one. Which , let's face it , you then spend the rest of your life having to prove it is defrost the real deal to some dick halfway around the world who claims to own the REAL genuine one too )

When I wiz young , you would buy a rece bike and try and race it. I guess if I had a race bike now I would probably dress up like a racer and wobble around on a parade lap , and pretend I was racing again !!!

All I can think about £150k for some lump of metal that may still have some original parts to the thing that was thrashed to death and beyond. 40 years ago. , is that some folk have WAY too much money to waste !!!!!

Compared to £25000 for an RC30, £26000 for this seems a bargain - but it doesn't pass my must be usable test, so I'll keep my RG500s.
Although I'm sure it would be an excellent addition to anyone's pension portfolio

Well, the current owner of the original H1RW, like myself, not only owns many stunning bikes that he never rides, but also owns several bikes that he thrashes the life out of on a regular basis . . . admittedly, there are hoarders and "entrepreneurs" that buy to make money on, but there are also (thankfully) a great many people who's lifes revolve around these bikes and are passionate about them, the "investment " part of it is just a bonus

Nigel Everett has built a couple of H2R replicas , I believe , in conjunction with Harris suppling Frames and other parts. They`ve had yokes and disc made etc.
Not sure if he`s built another Watercooled 500, but he`s had the barrels ^ heads and probably the clutch covers nmade for it/them. I think it`ll have been built using roadcases ?

I do recall some bloke in Germany offering up castings to make your own watercooled barrels on E Bay afew years ago . Wonder where they went ?
