Hey guys, does anyone have an opinion/thoughts on the KH500 currently on Fleabay? Was supposedly bought from Robinsons of Rochdale last year, seized soon after purchase, and they then rebuilt the motor? Price is a bit steep methinks? Ta. :?

Robinsons had it for sale at that same price for a very long time. Can't believe someone paid that much for it.

I had a bike sent to me by Courier last year. There was a KH500 in transit to its new owner on the van. tidy but not a full resto, with Spannies too. Van man said he'd paid £7500 for it !!

AND , we sold a n H1-B in original decent condition (. Good wheels , frame just touched up. Rebuilt top end ) with new paint , rechromed pipes and a new seat cover for. £3500. Two years ago. bloke was new to old bikes , and couldn't get on with it. , so he sold it the Sheffield Car specialists , or a name suchlike ;got £4500 for it. THey put it under shiny lights and did a wonderful looking photo , claiming it to be sympathetically restored, rep £6500. !!!!

( next thing I know I get a call from its new owner. Down Alton way asking me for info on the engine rebuild we had done on it ? Poor lad , I had to break the news that it wasn't what he thought , and that we could have done him a full strip and rebuild whole bike for what he had paid for his thing )

so I guess what I'm saying is , there are different prices all over the place . Never mind regional variations. a good deal is if you are happy with what you paid for, and what you got for your money !!

Six or Seven years ago, "Classic Bikes" Sold one for over £10,000  This one looks nice (as they all generally do in photos) the screw in the front hub cover is rusty, I know this may not seem like much, but that is generally and indication that there are other rusty nuts and bolts elsewhere, the paint looks nice and original, do we know WHY the engine failed and although rebuilt was the original cause repaired - knock a grand of that price and you'll be in the right ballpark Thumbs Up
