Kenny arrived on the train at 12AM and I picked him up from the station.
All packed and ready to go,just killing time watching British Superbikes on the TV and walking the dog!!
Picking up one of my local triple mates LEE at 6.15Pm to go for a few beers (guinness) and then a curry.
Taxi ordered for 6.30AM then our long 24 hour day begins picking up AL on the way.
Our Newcomer to the event ,Mark Baptiste, is flying in from one of the channel islands (Guernsey) and we will meet him at the airport tomorrow morning
Both of us cant wait
We wont be bringing the Dalek as it hasn't got a passport!

Flight delayed due to bad weather in Manchester

I think it was cursed by Malc joking about thick fog

Flight passed really quick and it definitely helped that the lovely trolley dolly kept feeded us red wine two glasses each at a time
RESULT
The obligatory Guinness to set the trip off was inevitable
At Chicago we had about an hours delay but the overhead signs were interesting!
We got into Traverse and had all changed into our "Justice for Rick" T shirts

The only trouble was I could see two people stood next to RB ALREADY wearing the same T.Shirt!!
Turned out to be triples club member Bill Ashworth with his wife Sheila who was also on holiday in the USA!
He kept that quiet!
Finally back at base we dumped our luggage and headed off to the "local" the Cedar Tavern.
Guinness and food went down well

The night is usually finished with a bottle of red but age is catching up with us so it was straight to bed
Bloody lightweights

We stayed up yesterday the 24 hours which it's better to do to adapt to the time difference (5hours)
All the Brits said they slept solid for about three hours then were wide awake for a couple of hours and then asleep again!!
After a lovely breakfast from Lisa we started to get bikes out for our riders at Mid-Ohio.

Of course we ain't taking the bikes above!
It's the mini bikes we are after that take up less room!
Some needed fettling so Kenny and Mark concentrated on that

Meanwhile we had the hire truck to pick up and this one had covered a mere 700 miles
RB has been suffering with a virus for a few weeks and with one of the symptoms being his joints seizing up and great pain!
Nova have been back on to him and there is a mountain of paper work to redo which is a problem with us going away and him being unable to even type!
Bill Ashworth stepped in and with Ricks supervision got it all done

We drove back into Traverse city that evening and ended the evening on the verandah with the log burner giving us heat as it's not so warm at the moment in the evening!

RB after more pills etc was now a lot better and we are hoping he will have improved tomorrow.
He even let off a few fireworks!

Tomorrow it's the drive to Mid-Ohio.
7 to 8 hours
The good news is RB has just appeared and while not perfect is loads better than yesterday.
He has just been speaking to Cody and said he is 80% compared to 30% yesterday so good news indeed.

Bill and Sheila's Ashworth remained in Michigan so we said our goodbyes

I have been trying to post some more but the red wine is flowing (and bullshit!)
So more MAYBE Tomoz

Early start and the weather forecast is shite on the TV giving rain all day!
BUT it's still dry here at the moment so we will see

Internet is also struggling so no pics as they won't load.
We had a BIG meal last night and there was Karaoke in the pub but it was all country and bloody western!
Don't think the sex pistols would have gone down well!!
That's possibly it for a few days but I will give it a go to hotspot into my USA friend Ricks phones WIFI at Mid -Ohio and try and post.
Just tried pics again but it just won't load
