Yesterday, my old frien Serge is passed away at the hospital.
We knew since we 're little boys and we lived in a small town closed Paris.
We were 4 guys on this town to ride on a H2 on the 70s and the funny thing is, if we don't know what happened to the four one, we were still there the 3 others Serge included until yesterday and still owned H2.
Better Serge still owned the 72 H2 he bought on 73 and he was on the way to resrtore it, Claude the other guy still has the 72 H2 he bought on 73 and still rides it!!

The wife of my friend called my lovely girl last saturday evening and said her Serge had only a few hours to live (he was badly ill since years now).
we came and I called by phone the old friends who had raced on the 70s on 1000cc production races class on H2 against Serge and myself as Serge was also a former racer on 400 S3 and H2.
3 of them (they're at Spa 2012 on K triple and since 2 of the 3 bought some K triples, you have also seen Gerard 400 S3 and Pierre XJ 900 they're at the last Southern ) came also around midnight on saturday and we have talked for the last time with our friend.
He resisted 3 days more before he died.
When I started from the hospital during the night of sunday when I came back home, I pushed the rev (even with a cold engine) just Serge heared the sound of a H2.
Funny thing is his wife said me yesterday evening when I came to see him dead he recognized the sound.
We are now waiting for the funerals.
We will come on bikes two stroke for those who can, H2 for those who can.

Really sorry to hear that JP, but your were obviously good friends, and what a fantastic gesture to let him hear the sound of a triple one last time. Made a dying man maybe a little happier.

Very sad news, good that he could hear the sound of a triple in his final hours thoughts go out to friends and family.

A very sad loss to you, you go back so far, and the sound of the H2 for the very last time. R I P Serge.

He had chance to say goodbye to his friends and to hear his favourite bike before he passed
He might have been very ill, but what a nice end of life gift
He would've passed with happy thoughts

I'm very sorry to hear the loss of a lifetime friend JP, and I appreciate you taking the time to write about it. It's obvious that you were very good friends.

Of course he recognized the sound......just as you would have and it was a brilliant thing(cold engine and all) to do for him!

I hope that where ever he is now, he's doing what he enjoys most.....talking to the other angels about when he used to "get wheelies in the first four gears"<LOL>!!

The church will respect the wishes of his friends....
