Can any esteemed club members with intimate knowledge of the KH, recall the precise location of said witness marks?

I seem to recall some on fork leg fasteners, but I can also seem to recall pre-decimal currency.

Are you talking about the yellow paint marks on the bolts after tightened ??

Or casting marks?

Sorry, yes thin yellow paint marks, usually on torqued fastenings.
