Kawasaki S1C question European vs American

Gents,

I have seen some amazingly restored S1C's on your side of the pond and while hijacking someone else's thread, learned that many C's were produced using the chrome fork ears, thank you very much since I liked the look and installed a NOS set of S3 ears on mine. I have another question regarding the spark plug covers. I see that often, the silver plug covers are used but they don't seem to be present on the "american versions". Is this a European thing and they weren't used on my side of the pond?

I was able to secure a set of the silver ones but don't want to install them if they really shouldn't be there on my side of the ocean.

I have mounted my new coils so now its decision time with these. Keep in mind that a 100% correct restoration was not the goal since I have S2 cylinders to mount on the cases but I would like it to be pretty close and I like the look of the solver ones so I guess I'm just asking for what is correct and any advice that anyone may have as well!!

Any clarification would be appreciated!!

am not sure but am think silver plugs covers were typical euro models and french H2 had them too. Was something to do with radio interferences, this explains why euro earlies H1, excepted in Italy -cause it's Italy- and Norway - Sweden all euro H1 were with points and not CDI :smt003
Should say that even now the effects of these earlies CDI is still terrific :D
was on the Court on the earlies 2010 with my 69 H1 (Minnesota bike originaly so with early CDI), there was a trial for a famous politic gman who made some mistake with the public money and his own -in his favour of course- All the TV were there and a TV van was parked in front of my 69 with plenty of TV screens to show what happened around the Court. Started the H1 and a few seconds after saw all TV screens with a kind of black/white snow w/o any thing al and the guys on the van were looking inside the van to understand what was wrong
On the evening news, this TV was the only one to have no images about the political leaving the Court

Mine definitely came with the metal ones but they went in the bin.. as I suspect almost 100% did at the time..

There are plenty of copies around but the proper ones cost £1.arm or $1.leg..
