Kawasaki Triples Club

Not sure if everyone wants to read about this as there is little feedback or repleys when I write about it on this forum compared to other forums I put it on?
Its the 8th year BUt it takes alot of time to write about it and theres little point me wasting my time doing it if its of little interest and becoming a bit stale

The bottom option shpuld say ,
I dont want to read anything about Mid-Ohio at all

I hate to think it may distract you from enjoying yourself. Fewer words perhaps and more pictures? I do enjoy the read.

The internet at Ricks place in Cedar is similiar to the Isle of man , hit and miss!
Dont think its quite as bad as the IOM though!
Its the pictures that usually take the time.
when we are in a hotel the WIFI is usually good.
At Mid Ohio our UK phones have non so the only way for a brief report is to link into the Wifi on one of the USA boys phones,
Usually Rick Sines, but theres little chance of posting a picture there although I have managed it once!
I enjoy doing it , anf if I didnt wouldnt do it at all :wink:
The writing for the magazine is done on the 400+++ mile trip there and the 400+++ mile trip back with input from Kenny sat in the back as he reads it as we go along.
Thats the boring part of the trip the endless miles of travellng which takes up a LONG day each way and MAKES for aLONG day each way!
Doing the magazine spends the time for me in the truck but usually pisses off AL as he prefers me to tell "storys" to pass the time LOL.
How do I get internet in the Truck?

I also try to keep stuff for the magazine so dont tell you it all
Mark Baptiste got a taste of the "Boring" travel element last year where as the tales on the forum/magazine tend to glamourise it all :wink:

I`ve stopped going to Mid Ohio, I tell the Americans it`s because " it`s full of foreigners now !! "

Malc complains about the tedium of driving over there , he wants to try doing my usual round trips . Normally between 3-5k in just over a week !! Lots of Cornfields !!!

But, I gues the rest of you find it something a bit different . Maybe Malc, you could just cut down on the red wine/guinness pics. I think we`ve got the idea on that part of it ?!!

Other folks, I`d be as interested in seeing any decent road trip stories on how the blokes that ride their bikes to the Rallies get there. Back roads, scenic villages with Triples smoking them out etc ?

Or do w all just crawl along the motorways these days ?

Go for it Malc and continue but maybe cut down on the drinking and eating photos as Neil suggested.

The mag is only 4 a year and I am glad to read anything triples. Every mid Ohio is different so each one is just as interesting. If anyone wants to read something different they should bother to put pen to paper. Malcs editing job is hard enough without doing the writing as well as editing. I know, I've done both. Most of us are guilty of sitting on our arses and hoping someone else will do all the work to keep the club going, me included. Keep writing mate, it's a good read.

Defo keep it up Malc as I cant go this year I would love to keep up with what's going on and enjoy the banter.
I think and hope that most people on here appreciate the time and work you put in, Its lucky you only work part time

I take your point on appreciation Eric, but that person is still entitled to their opinion - that's the whole point of a poll.

Personally I like the Mid Ohio read especially the 'finds' and the 'ones that got away'. I like to see what else you get up to on the trip, the scenery, the days out, any anecdotes (but no more plates of food unless it's something truly exceptional )

Well for me I enjoy it all, keep it up Malc.

James, Malc spends a load of time on the whole magazine and I think he should have put the third option a little differently because I take that one vote as saying to Malc what you write is a load of shit. That is a right kick in the balls as far as I`m concerned. I don`t read all the mag but I`m not about to tell the person that`s made the effort and taken the time to write an article it`s shit. Sometimes even I know when it`s best to say nothing, I know it`s hard to believe but true.

That's an assumption too far Eric. All it means is that one person doesn't want to read any more about Malc & co's Mid Ohio trip. you can't assume any more than that.

( The fact that if he didn't write about it, the mag would be half it's size is another,issue )

Personally , I don't want to read about H#ndas in a Triples Club magazine either. but I understand why Malcom put that in. He was trying to get me to write some stories about my TT "exploits". Again , I see why . Interesting stories , and possibly of interest to other folk. but again, in my eyes just not Triples related. ( Unless we include the vague link of one of them concerning me terrorising Mick Grant,.......and he ONCE rode a Kawaski !!! )
