I'm. A little stunned by that sale too.

As I built it for original. Customer two years ago for more than a couple of grand less than that !!!

No Eric. Zeroed. At rebuild , at behest of customer , prior to refistration and mot.

What has happened , or been reported Between subsequent owners, I have no control over .?

Zeroed     outlawed under the sale of goods act 1982 where by tampering with the mileometer unless authorised by a lawful body would carry a sentence of not less than 5 years imprisonment without time off for good behaviour.
You being a willing participant in the offence makes you liable, so for my silence I think a little blackmail would be in order.
:D Thumbs Up

Not quite smartarse. New speedo fitted to a bike with unverifiable mileage during complete rebuild . AND prior to first registration in this country. Hence no prior mot , and no recorded mileage . This being clearly stated in a contract with builder and customer.
However , anyone selling the vehicle on after this, without clearly stating , or deliberately/ knowingly obscuring these details may well be considerd to be " at it "

So let's hope that wasn't the case and that the newest buyer has not bought it thinking it has only done that mileage from new ?

I tell you what , I'll go find out and report back !!

Sorry Eric. I won't be paying you "hush" money !!

In actual fact, on importation. The details recorded with ourMaj's HMRC for the nova registration recorded that particular bike as a used vehicle " with zero mileage ". so it's official !! ( other details, as instructed by HM Govt also state it to be an import from USa , and Right Hand Drive !!! go figure ? )

Hmm, not sure about the legalities on your side though Eric ? I mean. , attempted blackmail ?? :P

Eric, you screwed up. Neil has you bang to rights by attempting blackmail. A worse offence than you accuse him of :D
An interesting post however.

Painted like an H!E rather than an H!F ?

I am really surprised by that price but I have noticed H1E,H1F and KH500 prices going up a lot over the last year or two.

Cheers

It IS an H1-E !! A " matching numbers " one.

Seller`s description was a bit too minimal , and on that fact wrong.

. He added to confusion by not clearly stating that the mileage was 350 SINCE rebuild. Fortunately ( ? ) 2 of the 3 bidders who offered in the regions of over £8k had been in contact asking loads of questions. So they got the correct story. ( I phoned seller to check afte rerading Advert description .)

But, yes, the price of late H1s certainly is rising. I guess because you`ll now be paying £5-6k for an absolute wreck of an H2 ?

I`ve noticed particularly a rmajor rise in the costs to buy for KH500s. After years of being considered "unworthy ! !!

( That is , of course, unless you are trying to sell an H1 to me. Then they`re worth bugger all !! Not half the bike an H2 is . har har )

Hmmmm, I wonder why the seller didn't just go to the #2 or #3 bidder and offer a "second chance"....would have only cost him a few bucks......hmmmmmmmmmmmm
