My UK H1A doesn't have a trumpet/silencer on the top of the airbox. Will this be the same as the later H1's or a different design?. and of course are they available?.

Thanks in advance.

Garry.

I recall RB saying that the UK early H1`s had a rubber doughnut on the airbox inlet & is extremely hard to find.

Ask RB, he put a picture of one on F/book a few months back.

I thought the same until just recently. My H2C has run without snorkel since I bought it. After fitting Ivans jet kit and jetted for standard airbox set up, I thought try it with snorkel on see what happens.

Oh my God. Clocked flat out at 117 mph by a ducati 1098. The guy claimed that he was having trouble keeping with me. Must admit thought I was doing 95 to 105 on my speedo.

So sorry guys converted to snorkel. Could be Ivans as well though.

Wouldn`t think it would make much if any difference , it`s not a snorkel just a glorified rubber ring.

Yeah , fit a snorkel to restrict the air intake , and whoosh. Off you go . Instant speed !!!

Nothing to do with fitting new unworn. Carb parts. With an improved 5 step needle letting motor pull more precisely through rev range. It'll definitely be that strangulation device. That fixed it.

Try running with the baffles out next. Even faste , must be because it's louder. !!!

Well, after searching the internet and pretty much every Triple parts resource I could think of I managed to find the above Doughnut......I just took off the airbox to paint it, and there it was wedged against the battery box!.

If you don't have the rubber silencer then I would advise upping the main jet to 100 as per the US spec, that is of course any of you sit at 80 plus for any length of time
