Don't use these guys for barrel resleving they can't do it

Thank feck they had a long lead time when I phoned them then.

Why what happened?

So they can't deliver what they are selling themselves to do on their web site? That is disappointing.

That's right Hal .They have just sent me 2 barrels back minus sleeves after hanging on and stalling me for over 3 months with a note saying sorry we cannot do it .

But they did a Suzuki T20 barrel for me a few years ago no problem, I know a few lads have had 400 barrels sleeved there in the past.

It might be that they can't get the sleeves, but you'd have thought they'd know that before removing the old ones.

Back in late Oct early Nov I was looking to get three barrels re-sleeved and I found a UK company that would do it for £140 a barrel and they said they had the sleeves in stock. If anyone's still looking to have re-sleeving done I'll post their details in a new thread.

Soooo they took old liners out and you never got them back ??? The guys on the aircooled RD site wax lyrical about this company???? wonder whats going on ??

They have screwed me over big time. I now have 1 dragbike cyl with no sleeve and what really Pissed me off was the stock bore cyl that they machined the liner out of all sent back to me with a note saying " sorry we cannot do it " utter Wankers !

Nipper my first resleeve was done by Nametab Engineering 01527 60395 did a great job the second two I had done was by Armstrong Engineering 0191 2614579 another great job but only let down by his lead time but that's all

I would phone them and give the one chance at a reasonable explanation then I would plaster the story over every Facebook group I could find.

It is frustrating they spent a lot of time stalling me. I am more angry about them machining out the stock barrel liner. I guess Roger is right I should not let them get away with it .

They did a resleve for me on a KH500 cylinder around 4 years ago with no problems at all. Don't know what has changed.

Did they expalin properly what aspect of the job that they were unable to do?

It wouldn't surprise me to hear that they started grinding out one of the barrels and then realised they didn't have any H2 sleeve after all, or at least enough to complete the job.

We all know the rarity of many H2 bits, so NOS H2 sleeves must be an endangered species. I mean, who makes them any more? I think we need to find out!

Incidentally are the sleeves all the same, or do the outer cyls have slightly angled exhaust ports?

Just a note stuck to the box saying
Hi Mark , I am sorry to inform you I have returned your cylinders and piston to you.After assessing them further I have decided I cannot carry out the work you require successfully. I would not feel right doing this as I know it's not going to be successful. I wish you all the best in the future with this.
