How do I detach the rear lightbulb holder on an H2a from the the backing plate so I can get rechromed I had a quick look but did'nt seem to want to come apart.

can you post a close up picture of the rear side Nogger? I know how to do some types.

I've had the rubber gasket off but could'nt seem to see how the the bulb holder comes away from the small plate on the backside where the wires attach.when I removed the rubber gasket it just rattled about on the chrome oval plate with no ovious sign of how it comes apart. hope photos help. If not I'll just leave the chrome as is a bit rusty !!!

Sorry that's one that I couldn't manage.

I did later think that perhaps if the wires were removed from the sleeving that removal of the bulb contact plate might reveal something, but I had flogged it by then.

AH !!! well I'm glad it's not just me. Suppose I will just have to clean it up best I can and put it back together. Might ask RB he might know.

Difficult to see with the rubber sleeve in place, but on my S2 rear light, the fitting was like an eyelet in a leather belt (couldn't think of a better description!). I just carefully folded back the thinly folded-over edge so I could separate the parts for zincing and chroming respectively. I then just re-assembled the parts and hammered it back together using a small punch to direct my efforts!
