Hi Chaps.
Me and my mate went out tonight to a biker meet at the Route 59 Cafe which is on the A59 between Skipton & Bolton Abbey.
It's a fairly popular met every tuesday night during the Summer with bikes of allsorts turning up.
I usually take one of the Triples along as they do attract a decent crowd.
Today it was the flatrackers turn to go. Got there no probs and bike was running well, had sommat to eat and a brew, talked the usual bollocks, Gawped a some of the bikes they including two modified Ninja H2's. One of which left at warp factor god known what speed???
Fired bike up always draws a bit of attention with those noisy Higgspeeds. Set off back home over the tops and low and behold the bugger nipped up!!!!. Screech, clutch in and coasted to a halt, Left it to cool down a bit then kicked it over seemed free enough but wouldnt start but at least it turned over. So bumped it off and it started so giggerly i proceeded to make my way home which it did thank god and running on all cylinders. It seemed lively enough but wouldnt tick over. I have to admit i probably knew what maybe the cause of this partial seizure i had a slight leak on the left pot head gasket but forgot to do owt about it (Stupid Boy!).
Got home had a brew and let bike cool down then took left pipe off yep piston looking a bit frazzled! Then head off as i expected some smeared alloy on top of bore. So hopefully its just a hone and a new piston? Will check other cylinders are ok but i suspect it was the leaky head gasket that caused it to nip up.

Dave  .
