As part of my ongoing thing about my missfire/ Pre ignition at high revs I am thinking that I might need to replace my needle jet ect and ultra sonic my carbs, the previous owner said he fitted a set of keyster kits, but I cant take this as gospel as he also told me the crank had been done and it was bent,Ive heard that these are not the best. I read that you cant get the 5DJ19 needles any more , is there another needle that works and what type of kit would work , there seems to be a lot of cheap ones from cruisin image ect.Anyone had success with anything my bike is an H1B.

The only kit worth using is an Ivan's jet kit.
Contact SG Motorsport they are the UK importer.

NOTE, The instructions with the kit is only a guide, you will need to play around with the settings to get the best from
the kit.(every bike is different ).

Thanks for the help boys, Mark is going to help me out with the standard parts, as it would appear that I have an issue with my float heights, I am at the moment more interested in getting my bike running properly without cutting out, once I resolve that I dont think I am going to benefit too much with one of Ivans kits as I am not racing the bike, just looking to get it going properly, also I will get some jets from Motocarb to make sure that I have genuine ones in the bike, as the pattern ones may not be accurately machined.

please do not be offended, but, do not dismiss Ivans kits, they are not for racing, but to improve the running over the standard needles and jets, a lot of time and effort went into development of these kits, and they work, removing surging, improving performance over standard, and fuel consumption. I notice that this advice has been given on a few posts regarding your problem, kyster is crap, standard is good until worn out, and Ivans kit are the best replacement over standard. not a lot of point asking for advice, then ignoring it Thumbs Up

Fair enough I will attempt to get rid of my cutting out problem first , then as part of my ongoing ownership of a triple I may fit one of these kits as an upgrade next year ,rather than trying to use it to fix the problem I wont take offence as I always value your opinion Andrew, thanks again for taking the time . :D

I've ordered genuine jets from Steve at Motocarb , so hopefully I will get my cutting out sorted, but on another note Ive been reading quite a few good reviews about Ivan's jet kits, so if I cure the bike when I get home I may invest in a set for the Spring.
