H2b petrol tank

Hiya triple people...does anyone know what size thread for h2b petrol tank to tap outlet....took off mine found it to be cross threaded...how someone can do this with an alloy nut is beyond belief....hey ho

Hi - not sure on the pitch of the thread but i think the nut is 24mm

My old Zeus book and TPI gauge are still packed away so can't help at the mo. Coarse ISO 24mm at a guess ???

The thread on the fuel tank spigot is M24 x 1mm pitch right hand.
The thread on the fuel tap body is M24 x 1mm pitch left hand.

Thanks chaps...have now sorted...cut off bottom three threads and put on pingle tap... tango's idea ....thanks all...thanks mark..
