H1 50th Anniversary - Festival of 1000 Bikes July 13th-14th

The dates of the Festival of 1000 bikes is confirmed as 13th -14th July at Mallory
To get a Kawasaki Triples track session we need to get 45-50 bikes on the track.
I only have 20 definites or probables. We need at least 25 more entries to get our own session.

We will still try for a space on the Avenue of Clubs with a display of Triples
Cost is still not definite but it was £80 for one session last year - camping free with this and if you join VMCC there is a discount. We MAY be able to work out a deal with VMCC - but this is not guaranteed.
Camping area is large and it may be possible to reserve an area for us.

Booking track space is likely to start soon so I need you to let me know if you are interested.

I am a VMCC member and according to this months magazine public track sessions will be available
to book from mid December. If you want to do more than the planned club one then forms are normally available
on their website to download. In previous years you could do up to 3 on the Saturday for road bikes and
the same on the Sunday for race bikes.
If you are doing more than one session then it is cheaper to join the club to get the reduced rates.

There are no speed restrictions on track but there are travelling marshals mainly on modern sports bikes
to ensure that people are not getting too carried away beyond their capabilities. Each session starts with a
warm up/sighting lap when you can not overtake the lead marshal, then its up to the individual. The public sessions
are pre allocated by the size and age of the bike so if triple riders enter other sessions we will likely end up together.

Hi Kerry
It runs from date of joining with annual renewal so you can join at the point of entering Mallory.
Are you taking the modern track day 600 for the race bike Sunday as well?
I will be taking an old race bike for an airing.
Regards

It will be VMCC but I will try and find out from VMCC later this week if there will be a Triples session.

Initially I needed to find out from KTC members how many were going.

With replies on here and on Facebook I now have 30 going and 8 maybes. Not quite at the target they wanted.

Nick, I hope you get the support this event deserves.

What could be better than a ride round round a classic British circuit on an iconic Japanese machine, with a bunch of your mates 8) 8)

Add me to the list!

Is there any restrictions on what gear you have to wear to ride round the track?

Proper boots, full leathers etc or will me trainers do like at Spa!

I am still waiting to hear back from VMCC to confirm a Triples track session.
Looking at this year's rules trainers and jeans are not OK.
